I vote Brisbane 2 and CC Bears! Yep I have finally seen the light and am convinced that by continuing on our myopic p**s weak approach to our game that we will in fact take over as not only Australias No1 code but the worlds! How can people not get excited about two suburban teams playing in front of 8,000 fans in a run down stadium?

Ha ha April fool!

CC and WA Reds are the only two clubs actually working on being ready so it is obvious who will get the gongs, not that I think the NRL will expand for at least 5-8years if at all.

My vote's for a national comp over consolidating Qld but Bears coming back is first preference, closely followed by Perth.

Future
2nd NZ
Adelaide
Redcliffe/Sunshine Coast Qld
PNG

Definitely makes sense

People seem to be mixing up expanding the game with consolidating the game. Expansion is new areas, new fans, new players. consolidation is building on the confines of what we have.

On the one hand you would say consolidate your own backyard first, that is Central Coast, Adelaide/Perth, NZ, Brisbane, but on the other hand expanding into PNG and South Africa would bring extra T.V. money through new deals with T.V stations organisations in those countries. Does channel NINE run into New Zealand, or is there a different station covering it, or do you have to have pay T.V? Expanding into PNG and South Africa would probably unearth some amazing talent.

Another option is always the cook islands, they could field a combined team Pacific team, perhaps the 'Pacific Rangers' and there are already stadiums out there, with some NRL and local government funding it could be a really viable option.

If only a NRL team could solve all of PNG's economic and political problems.

PNG is unrealistic IMO. Sure RL is there national sport, but from a commerical view point its just not possible. They dont even speak english.

lol, half of Les Catalans don't speak English and most of the Toulouse team don't either, still doesn't stop them playing in English competitions.

That's the last thing the PNG bid needs to worry about.
