It is a hard one.

Have to disagree with Counting Crows, Soul Asylum and John Legend

Counting Crows in particular have gotten better and better for mine.

As for my nomination I will say

Styx: Mr Roboto

I know COF cop a lot of sh*t off certain people - usually black metal fans of which I am one - but I quite like them.

Aside from having Nick Barker on drums - who is a God - don't forget Dusk and Her Embrace which is a brilliant album.

Some good struff around on other albums too. Her Ghost in the Fog etc.

Actually...I have to agree with you. After listening to them seriously for a while, they're not bad.

Man, I don't get why bands like COF and Dimmu cop such crap. They're pretty decent imo.

Probot as a whole.

I was so excited when the concept was announced - songs written by Dave Grohl; singer such as Lemmy, King Diamond and Max Cavalera...

Alas, they suck.

Some classics in here
but the goo goo dolls and third eye blind are top bands, not one hit wonders by any means imo

some of mine:

Alex Llydd - Never Ment to Fail (he is a pretty popular bloke but i never liked anything else but this)
The Calling - Where ever you will go
Incubus - Drive (re: see Alex Lloydd)
Joshua Kadison - Jessie
Rascall Flats - Bless the broken road
Richard Marx - Hazard
Seal - Kiss from a rose
Sick Puppies - All the same

Seal - Kiss from a rose

Ugh, one of his worst songs! I've got the Seal discography and there's some bloody brilliant stuff in there. I liked Kiss when it came out, but it's so far off the radar with me now.

As for

Joshua Kadison - Jessie

I've not heard his latter albums, but I enjoyed the entire Painted Desert Serenade album. Beau's All Night Radio Love Line was, perhaps, the best track of it. Very bittersweet.

shaking my head at some of the choices - i.e. Offspring weren't crap - maybe the later stuff wasn't too good. but their stuff from the mid 90's was good imho.

hard to decide, I never liked Greenday wouldn't exactly say crap, just its not for me, 'Time of Your Life' was good though.
