Lol the point is by making such comments farah has opened himself up to be judged. He is having the comments published in the paper and if there is a big enough backlash ( there won't be) he could face issues with his employer. If the guy who made those comments that started this had signed his name to them there is every possibility he could lose his job, lose social standing over it.

What would be the real world repercussions if he said it to him in person?

Well getting beaten up would be the most obvious. If he published it in a newspaper article which he signed off on ( so not strictly to farahs face but also not anonymously) he would have to deal with the publics reaction to it. The impact that would have would depend on how important his involvement is with the public. Say he owned a small business in leichardt or just wanted to not be called a merkin in the street by randoms.

Twitter is what it is because of the anonymity.

If Wobbie doesn't like it, she should keep her big nose out of it.

Looks like Fawah has ambushed himself this time.

He has always been a whinging cry baby, that's why this so amusing.

He was craving attention, now he has it.

So in your scenario that he was beaten up, don't you think it would be Robbie Farah who would be charged with assault and not the bloke for being a wanker? Kind of similar how in this situation, only Robbie Farah actually broke any laws.

Furthermore, he didn't publish it in a newspaper or say it on TV which is beholden by advertisement revenue, and even if he were a small business owner I doubt there woul be much consequence.

But I can assure you that Robbie Farah wouldn't be calling for the PM and Premier to get involved.

There is no need for new laws, or anything. Farah, offended, should have blocked the user and carried on with life - instead he found an opportunity to further his media image by jumping on the bullying campaign (which he will now experience blowback).

Imagine how the poor Prime Minister feels about this entire fiasco?

Her father has just died and it has come to light that some cyber-bully on Twitter has suggested that she should have a "noose" for her birthday present.

    Damn these Twitter scums!

Love that article on Robbies tweet, replete with advice from ACMA on how to deal with trolls.

    It's no doubt implied that:

*DO NOT petition state and federal politicians to intervene on your behalf.

    been well worth watching this

there's another irony in this. Asking someone who you don't like or respect for help.

Akin to someone who's been an atheist all their life praying to God for help when they are diagnosed with cancer.

    ^ Like or respect?

Pretty sure he implied she should kill herself (via Twitter) and then asked for her help against Twitter bullies.

    Robbie Farah: Extreme dickhead.

This is just another example of the pot calling the kettle black. RF probably forgot about all his bogan tweets and doesnt realise he is a twit himself.

Still, he will have fellow bully and sociopath Ray Hadley firmly in his camp now.

The only thing that could make this more awesome is if Michael Ennis was revealed as the original troll
