Farah calls on PM to crack down on Twitter abuse

Farah looks like a massive tool on here, he did the right thing and apologized, but it still won't stop him looking like a huge hypocrite, which he is.

Gotta love all the Internet nerds wanking themselves stupid over this. Sadly this is what the net has allowed, the type of socially inept ppl that rightfully got beat up at school take their frustrations out in an an anonymous way and make them feel better about themselves.

Kind of like how you've called Danny Buderus a c*** and wanker and applauded his injuries in the past. You ought to talk knob jockey.

If Farah included the word 'political' it would have been fine. 'political noose' is a pretty common term thrown at a politician quickly losing support and is meant in regards to their career or term. It can also refer to a goverment crackdown on something.

He might have been able to look less a dick if he tried to explain it down this route. lol

This is so much better than it happening during the off-season.

Quality lulz in between finals.

Also I'm very, very certain I have never applauded any player getting injured (unless it was Daniel fitzhenry, Tim moltzen or Shannon McDonnell) so would be shocked if you could find me saying that about buderus getting injured. If you do then I'll gladly say you are right and apologise as that's not cool.

If it had have happened deep in the off season it would have been somehow used as a code on crisis media piece.

During season: NRL is cool
Off season: NRL is f*cked

The News Ltd. credo.

they are different seeing those tweets were never sent directly to the person they were referring to
Not very different in style or intent imo, only in the technicality of audience (open public versus direct public).
your sig definition does imply the tweet has to be sent directly to the person
I beg to differ, it's more about intent rather than direction. If Robbie thought he was being smart and would cause some disturbance by publicly making his noose tweet about Gillard, then that is what trolling's about - aiming to disturb others.

You can do it directly, or indirectly but still publicly - both as bad as each other imo. Robbie's screwed up and looks like a dickhead now given his reaction earlier in the week.

you sound like you've never used twitter

the chances that Gillard read his tweet are buckleys seeing he never sent it to her

Le sigh.... Trolling doesn't have to be direct to someone's feed, as others have explained to you in this thread. Hashtags, retweets, naming people... all gets the job done and qualifies as trolling "for the purpose of disturbing other users".

Are you scared of how Robbie will be portrayed now, or something?

ATTENTION PenroseWarrior

Should robbie do 2-5 years hard labour along with the anonymous tweeter?
Where should we build all the gaols?
Will there be anybody on the outside left to serve as prison officers?

Please share your grand plan with us.

You are conspicuous by your absence.

what others?

it's only you accusing him of trolling Gillard

his tweet was sent to MG, not her

if you gp down the pub and call me a f**kwit to one of your mates do you think that's trolling? or bullying?

The absence of Penrose Warrior and BunniesMan from this thread since Farah got exposed as a hypocrite is interesting.

I wonder if Robbie should be targeted by the same crack police force that was going to hunt down the person who tweeted him?
