I only use it to tap the ball ahead when in space, i find it doesn't really work against the computer.

Do you have much success scoring off crosses?

Yeah, I tap the ball ahead heaps too.

I don't try to cross very often, but when I do, I will do them when there's hardly any defenders in the box. it's also pretty easy do with assist on lol.

Yeah same.. I reckon it's weak to try to score predominately through crosses but if it's on then so be it.. not cross and hope at every opportunity like some clowns do.

I'm also a big fan of the lobbed through ball (R1 and triangle I think (havn't played for a while lol)) .. it's fun to give a small lobbed through ball to a striker already in a box then L2 and shoot for a bicycle kick/skill volley.

Yeah, the lob pass is very useful. I forgot about that.

It's nowhere near as effective offline then it is online though. You get so many people online that spam it so much lol

Anyone picked up FIFA Street?

i have, personally i rather fifa 12.

Does anyone know who long it takes to get juniors to thier potential, or if you have to do anything special? or just play them. I have a couple of players rated 60 odd and they are 17 years old, potential of 82-92 etc. does it take 5 seasons or so? because they arent increasing in rating fast atm.

Loan them as much as possible. But as always, make sure it's to teams that they're going to be definite starters in.

Mind you, I've got a young French CB (what are the odds?)16, current rating of 62, potential of 95+ who is valued at 5m. But, he's only two seasons in. I rarely have the patience to keep 'maybe' youngsters around for too long.

I sold Neuer to Madrid for about £35m. I don't really sell the established players on my FCB save except for Neuer so most of my sales are in the £10-25m range. I've rejected £60m bids for Schweinsteiger and Gomez before.

When I first got the game Robben had the tantrum and the board sold him for £20m to Barca after I rejected their bids up to about £45m which had me pissed off. Rage quit and started again :lol:

Badstuber is the most popular transfer target every window is non-stop bids. Kroos as well.

Badstuber and Boateng are both 80 in season 2 now. Xherdan Shaqiri was always my first purchase now post latest patch Basel want just under £30m FFS and Sahin doesn't grow to 89 in season 2 like he did :x

I play as Everton, had some stuff like this happen. Stoke wanted Jagielka really badly, he was worth about 13m and I managed to knock them all the way up to 30m before I eventually sold him, they started at roughly a quarter of that, after I had sold Cahill on the same day I replaced them with Kagawa and J Boateng, both were amazing for me. Liverpool wanted Fellaini badly as well, but I was never going to sell anyone to them, they gave up at around 42m, after starting at about 18m.

yeah, you should be able to set a minimum transfer fee for all your players. Between every game I get 2-3 attempts to try and buy a player for 70% of their worth then back out when I ask for more.

There is far too much player movement in the career modes. Some players change clubs every year.

Frustrating when you move to manage another team to find out they have lost pretty much all their normal players

The annoying thing is they're usually like for like transfers within the same league or the same transfers every time (Sneijder to City)

The transfers that annoy me are Barca signing Kompany, Vidic, Thiago Silva but not selling a defender.

Ultimate Team has ruined career mode for me. The gameplay is different, UT is a bit faster and the players have slightly better control of the ball so it's easier to pull off effective skills and that leads to some pretty great goals. It's not as realistic but I have more fun with it, been trying to replicate it with the sliders in career mode but no luck
