This is beyond a joke, the NRL have also scheduled the Sharks NSW Cup game at 3:00pm on Saturday so any of the Sharks fans whom couldn't afford to go to the city can't even watch the entire reserve game before heading into the Leagues club.

Jesus f**king christ the NRL have dropped the ball on this one.

Toovey should play the entire NSW cup team today with a few players finishing up come of the bench for a cameo 10 minutes. 'Win' the right to play on Friday night against the Bunnies by losing by a 1000 to Penrith.

If Manly lose by "1000" to Penrith, then they would face the Roosters, not the Bunnies.
The "1000" points would also put the Panthers in the 8 at the expense of the Cows or Knights.

Do it Toovs! Lose by 1000!!!

Newcastle's NSW Cup game is almost at the same time as their NRL match too.

Well I wouldn't have minded a double header at ANZ but at Allianz? There's only 40,000 seats! There should be at least 30,000 for Roosters v Manly and if it ends up being Sharks v Knights that would have got 20,000+! f**king idiots.

What's wrong with:
Friday: Roosters v Manly - Allianz
Saturday 5.30: Souths v Storm ANZ
Saturday 7.30: Sharks v Knights/Cowboys Allianz
Sunday: Bulldogs v Knights/Cowboys ANZ

f**k the AFL.

Why is there near two hours break between games? Will there be another U20s match in between or something? Or is it just so we can watch them warm-up?

edit: just checked only one U20s game before the double-header. The other will be played before the Bulldogs match on Sunday as an U20s double header..

So 1 1/2 - 2 hours of nothing between games. That'll keep the Sharks fans around.

F**k there are some whingers on this site.

If you support one of the 4 teams playing in the double header go out and make a day of it and watch 2 quality games of rugby league.

Great arguments against all the valid points raised against the Double Header.

The 4pm game will be played in front of about 11,000 people

How is this good ??

20,000 roosters fans will not show till 6.55pm

I hope to god thats what happens. Let the cameras show massive gaps in the crowd during the first game.

I assume the NRL were planning on a Roosters v Storm and Sharks v Cowboys so with 2 interstate sides there shouldn't be much demand, but with Manly now playing Roosters this is going to be a massive f**k up. You cant tell me 15-20,000 packed in at Remondis is not better than 10-15,000 in a 45,000 seat stadium? Only a few crazy people will attend both games

At least the AFL when faced with scheduling dilemma but a low drawing game that could be moved from the City to a suburban ground for the first time in 115 years, they did it. Then this week, same team earns another low scoring game but back to the norm with the main ground available.

Definitely a CH9 decision, they have a lot of pull also getting CA to schedule an entire season of the one day comp in 1 city so they don't have to move their production interstate at all...

NRL will then turn around and say shit ratings at 4pm combined with empty stadium proves Sharks are not supported

Yep we should totalling expect people to sit in a football stadium from 4pm till 9pm.

I can see heaps of people willing to spend 5 hours there including eating their dinner at the ground. It's not like good doesn't cost a small fortune or something.

I'll watch my team and my team only. I'm not interested in helping the NRL in its endeavour to f**k my side out of a home final.

I am looking forward to its tremendous failure with thousands of empty seats in prime position for the first game

Imagine if all tickets are sold.

And 30000 empty seats remain for whole first game

And 12000 sharks fans are locked out
