Finals Week 1

I was going to watch the 20's but it looks like I'll just have to watch at the Paddo instead. I'm not even remotely interested in watching Sharks on the TV let alone live so the 6:55pm turn up sounds like the go.

Hopefully nobody turns up before 6:30 though lol

I'll watch my team and my team only. I'm not interested in helping the NRL in its endeavour to f**k my side out of a home final.

I am looking forward to its tremendous failure with thousands of empty seats in prime position for the first game

By buying a ticket you help the NRL's bullshit regardless if nobody warches the Rodney Howe game especially if you buy the $70 ones which looks like half the f**king stadium.

Providing the stadium is empty during the first game then the game will be deemed a failure.

I'm sure the telegraph won't miss the opportunity to lay the boot in once Rothfield's sharks are playing in front of bugger all fans

Not if 40,000 tickets are sold. It'll be a raging success. Look at how they're flogging off $70 "category 1" on the 10 metre line

We'll never play a stand alone home final at the SFS again.

They won't sell 40000 tickets, they'll be lucky to sell 30000.

And 30000 at $70 doesn't add up to 50000 at $50 (30000 at SFS and 20000 at Remondis)

I don't understand how or why they did this. Roosters should have their game Friday night, that's how I assumed it would be, #1 playing the first game. To me, it makes no sense, and it looks like it's the same with everyone in here! It is also very unfair that fans are forced to pay more for a double-header, when they more than likely wouldn't be watching both. I think a massive boycott is in order, but obviously that won't happen. Maybe they will change their minds this week after they see everyone blowing up about it. Ridiculous.

Ffs, you're a dribbler. Were you one of the 4 Roosters fans that were at Brookvale Oval when they played Manly?

Further to the whole double header debacle we are now in a situation where 5v8 is being played before 1v4 and 6v7 is played 2 days after 2v3.

I've bought tickets, but here's a problem for the NRL- I can't make the first game, I'm working during the day on Saturday, so there's an automatic empty 2 seats for the Sharks vs Cowboys game. There'll be a stack of other people buying tickets to see the 7pm game who won't make the first game, whether from work commitments, their own or family sporting commitments, or just disinterest in who is playing- there's going to be patches of empty seats everywhere. Stupid, stupid move.

Good luck getting parking if you're driving there just for game two.

Going to the double header(love being a telstra customer they always give us early and cheap prices to big events!)

Seriously though 4pm and 7pm kick offs?

Better be some epic mid match entertainment otherwise sitting there for 1.5 hours will be dandy!

How about roosters and manly having a stretch-off?

Not sure about the Double Header, it sorta seems like the Sharks/Cowboys match is treated as a curtain raiser.

Hopefully they'll get a good crowd, Im sure Sharks wouldve preferred this at Shark Park but the NRL made the rules at the start of the year, no finals matches played at "suburban grounds".

For our sake watching it on TV, Ray Warren will be calling two matches and we wouldnt have to put up with Raaaaaayyyy.

As far as the AFL goes, its seems like they want the Swans to play at a bigger venue. Hopefully this problem will be resolved once the SCG is completed.

They had confirmed this match before the NRL worked out the matches to played on what day. They were waiting for Ch 9 to decide whats better on a Friday night and a Sunday.
