oh no, sneaky is here, we're doomed!.

All refs are f**ked, but its not their fault. It is the NRL's, that is why I am continuing my NRL ban this week.

I always wondered about that. Does anyone rate any of the refs then? I think Hampstead does a good job.

I heard a juicy rumour that Aku will play and that Cooper has just been named similar to what happened with Sau...

Vuna's been dropped because he is overweight.

I guess you could ask why Wicks is still there then.

Even Smith doesn't know exactly who will start yet - but Uate is more likely to play than Vuna IMO.

Uate at fullback.
Kidley at hooker.
Dureau at half.
Bailey on bench or out of the side.
IMO.

Vuna was fairly ordinaru last weekend at North Sydney Oval. Aku played okay, but was injured late in the game. Seemed like his ankle. Saw him at the gym this morning with the rehab boys. Reckon there was about a $1M on the push bikes (i.e bedsey, simmo, hindler, wicksy, jessie, aku and others).

That named team will be nothing like the one which runs out at kick off. I expect Uate is still a chance to play , along with a whole host of other forward reshuffles.

Too early in the week to know for certain.

I can't see Dureau playing hooker thats for sure.

Dureau starting half, Mullen pivot.

Unless Bailey makes some miracle recovery.

I expect reshuffles in the forward pack too starting/bench wise. Flip flops everywhere - you know - the only way Smith knows.

I sometimes think he really believes he is outsmarting people or something being so deceptive with his line ups.

Surely he realises 9 times out of 10 the other team already know?

Outsmarting is probably the wrong word. I suspect he is just trying to keep them guessing. Why not take every little advantage? Some of his changes are pretty obvious; some of them not so easy to predict. If the opposition has to prepare for even a couple of feasible contingencies, he's added at least a minor irritation to their preparation. And there are different reasons for the feints. When he keeps rookie debuts under wraps it's just to shield them from the media during the week. Other times, I think he genuinely doesn't settle on the team until later in the week (though not as late as the rest of us get to know of course). That scenario mainly occurs when he's not sure who is going to be available, or he is entertaining a switch in playmaking positions and wants to see how a couple of options go at training.

Now admit it. Your real gripe is from a punting perspective. ;-)

I don't bet on the NRL. No way in the world. I have a crack at tipping competitions, and a couple of the fantasy league competitions, but its just for fun - though it can be frustrating player selection wise!

There's nowhere near enough credibility in the NRL to waste your coin on trying to mind read coaches.

Enjoy a punt on the horses, and hit the craps table at the casino a few times a year ( best odds in the house ), but I was always told to steer clear of betting on anything that has two legs and that can talk.

The NRL betting is dodgy in my opinion.

Scarily enough last weekend, there was big money ( bets over $10,000 ) that went on the Bulldogs and Titans in the hour leading up to the kick off to the games. I mean wow...
