Yar I dunno where the truth lies, but basically every female player hes worked with has walked out the door.. thats probably far more convincing evidence than any words on a screen.. and the club sacking validates that.

He worked for a few years as a halves and 5th tackle coach with the mens NRL team also, im not sure we ever had worse 5th tackle options at the time.. even worse than 2024 if you could believe it.

Even though a lot of us will always love Sowie for 2010, and I dont mind listening to his views on the game from time to time.. I think its time for the club & him to completely part ways.

Well, while for the next 2 years we will have Damien Cook, at the end of his tenure with us after that time, he intends to go back to the South Sydney Bunnies to help out with coaching etc. Hopefully he isn't just going to go through the motions with us until then. Surely he is grateful that we have given him a lifeline for the next couple of years to keep money going into his bank account. Then he will dump us. Great.

Makes me a little ill. We are just a thoroughfare.

There’s still upside to his acquisition but at the end of the day, it’s just another player whose heart is not in it, not for our club.

To be fair that was already the arrangement he had with Souths before he was tapped on the shoulder so no one should have a problem with this. The only expectation I have from Cook is that he is professional and gives 100% when he's on the field. Also bear in mind he now knows he has only 2 years left to get a premiership so I'm wagering he'll be putting in for the time he's with us.

I think this article shows great disrespect to our club on behalf of Cook, Here I was thinking he should have the captaincy. instead now I think he should just not bother. Has it sunk into his head that Souths are the ones punting him, it instils no confidence in me that this guy is just another who is taking the money and really doesn't want to be here. F#@K me if you are so intent on rushing back to Souths, then dont bother turning up and allow us to get someone who actually wants to play for the Dragons

This is a really good summary of the way I look at the signing of Cook.
I have no doubt at all that Cook will put in during the 2 years he is with the Dragons.
Comes across to me as a professional who will set high standards both on and off the field, especially for the younger guys.
