I can see Wests being desperate for a coach in the near future. All the money they spent on new recruits going to waste wasn't part of the plan.

Ours is contracted til the end if 26.

If they want to sign him 2 years out, good luck getting an interim coach in the meantime for them.

Never “not worth the paper they’re written on” which is an idiom that sprung up n the 90s in comparison to “honoring” the contract as in the 1960’s

Lawson will probably take up the 6th supplementary spot, at least until we can offload someone, then I would expect he would move into the top 30. Spot 30 will stay open for a while longer I would say

Supp players can play from round 1. I doubt Lawson will play that early, he'll need to spend some time in NSW cup anyway. They receive a bonus payment for each NRL game they play as a supp player, but they can play. Train and trial players can play NRL from round 10 or 11

I wasn't saying they'd jump on the phone any minute, just speculating on which clubs will be on the look out for a new coach in the near future. Brought on by the speculation that "a club" is already sounding him out.
If Benji can't get the squad he's got shooting up the ladder fast he's in strife - Luai, Galvin, Naden, R.Hunt, May, Api, Turuva, Olam. If we'd signed just RHunt and May I'd be over the moon let alone Luai.

I know mate. All good.

They’re basically not understanding that societal norms have changed and that affects hey how people view “contracts”.

They are still binding (when entered into freely, in good faith) in that they are an employment guarantee, but theses days, are very negotiable depending on whatever variables may present.

Flanno has signed better players than Price, McGregor, and Griffin combined during his short tenure. If this doesn't earn him an extension, I give up.
