When you look around the league, you have to ask yourself where he would have better prospects. The new franchise? Behind Sullivan at wests? Titans and Cronulla are chock full of halves. Saints are his best bet at the moment.

Once Atkinson is confirmed 100%, we will see a definite pathway transition of players.

I would imagine from '26:
Atkinson and Ilias as our halves pairing
Cook and Liddle in as our 9/14. With Cook spending time at lock during the game. I would assume this would be Cookie's last year as he would be 35 at seasons end.
KFlan I think will be a bench utility, who would fill-in in the halves or at hooker (hence why I believe he's stacked on the kilos). We were cut short a few times this year by not having a utility on the bench.

For '27, assume Atkinson and Ilias are still the halves pairing.
Liddle and KFlan to share the 9/14 role.
I would be almost certain that Halangahu and/or Latu would be our lock.
Either LKT or Reed as the bench utility

Totally agree but IMO I dont see Atkinson as a DCE type. He has made his decision & I expect he is a man of his word & will ignore any further approaches from scumulla. He has been out in the market for over a month & they had all that time & prior to resign him. Play on as far as I'm concerned !

"I think we just need to work on our consistency, not just in the game, but also week-to-week, having that standard of finding what we do well and doing that over and over again during the game and then again week-to-week."

This is what I believe the coaches should be concentrating on - consistency and if we win games keep doing the same things (with some adjustment in strategy etc of course for the different teams that they have to play against) week to week.
