i don't know why yow yeh is 18th man. he's not ready for at least a couple of years imo. Tuqiri is back in league, and back for good. He's got another couple of good years in him.

Typical QLD mentality. If Tate wasn't injured they would have said we're dropping Folau for the good of the game. Now that hes injured, they're scared of losing with Tiquri or yow yeh so they flip

So true f**ken pussies, they should stick with their initial decision that guy should not be playing origin.

if folau was a jerk, which he isn't, he should just turn around and say screw you guys, seriously, pretty disappointed with locky. He spoke from a high n mighty position last week saying folau's my friend but we gotta send a message that there are consequences. He also said gasnier signing for 50k would be rorting the cap, well if locky wants to play for 50k, then he should feel free so folau could have been offered more money. But to turn around and be behind the push for folau. So much for credibility let alone this loyalty talk.

We Queenslanders know Origin better than NSW will ever do. Of course, we've done a backflip on our word with Folau. But he was always going to be chosen. Do we really care what is said from now on? Not really but we'll continue to stoke the fire when needed. It's all to our benefit. Remember first game when we convinced everyone that we were underdogs despite four straight series wins. We realise we couldn't use that tact in this game so we changed.

so we're going to convert AFL fans to league? is origin even shown on the same day in melb?

AFL fans arent going to suddenly start watching league cos of folau

Nine showed the SOO live for game 1 in Melbourne and I hope to f**k they do for game 2, they have no credibility when it comes to showing league in VIC.

A lot of Vics actually do get in to the SOO when given the opportunity to do so its just that nine usually screws us over down here.

QLD is soft for letting an AFL convert play league, they still have plenty of firepower without him, why show him loyalty when he has shown absolutely none to the game of league? Next they'll have cutie back too wearing his ridiculous AFL vest.

Low.

This is typical of the Queensland chip. Must beat NSW at all costs, its the only thing that matters. No standards.

For Queensland, beating NSW is the most important thing in the game.

Picking a player who has committed himself to play our rival code is disgraceful.

I hope the QRL board step in and block this, if not, the ARL board should.

MAROONS SHOULD HAVE GROUNDED FOLAU
by Sean Fagan – www.Tribe13.com.au

The QRL has selected Israel Folau for State of Origin II. Would I have chosen him? Short answer: No.

I would have been 100% behind Folau playing for the Maroons had he merely announced last week via a written press release that he had resolved his future plans for 2011 and beyond by signing with AFL, and that he would be making no further comments on this matter until his NRL season with the Broncos was over.

Instead, this presently contracted NRL player…

Took part in a AFL media stunt held for no other purpose than to gain publicity for the AFL and its new franchise, and at which he openly spoke in favour of AFL entering the western Sydney market and encouraged the community to take up the game.

Folau also gave valuable media photo/video opportunities with AFL officials, and allowed himself to be photographed by the media/AFL on an AFL ground with AFL posts in the background.

The only redeemable thing he did was decline to be photographed/filmed holding an AFL shirt.

Folau did all of this while still a contracted NRL player.

That’s why he shouldn’t be playing State of Origin even though he is still a NRL contracted player.

Woah woah woah hang on a second here.... Jamie Lyon doesnt even want to play for NSW, he's told the selectors not to pick him and then when they did anyway he applied to retire from rep footy so he didnt have to. Then youve got the bloke in your sig Tahu whos just come back from Union and walked into the Origin squad despite NSW having plenty of options in his position. NSW, just like QLD want to win the games at all costs, dont think youre all high and mighty mate. Take a look at your own team before throwing stones accross the border.

For the record, ive got no problem with Folou, Tahu or Tuqiri playing for their respective states as they're contracted to play NRL footy.

This just proves QLD have no f**king scruples picking a guy who's going to a rival code, Only to promote the GWS AFL team.

I'm a Queensland supporter, and hate his selection. It's a 'free kick' for AFL.
Would have preferred Tuquiri instead. Or even a random guy picked off the street.
It also cheapens the QLD jumper in my mind. I want guys committed to Queensland in my Origin team, not a paid mercenary.
