Woah woah woah hang on a second here.... Jamie Lyon doesnt even want to play for NSW, he's told the selectors not to pick him and then when they did anyway he applied to retire from rep footy so he didnt have to. Then youve got the bloke in your sig Tahu whos just come back from Union and walked into the Origin squad despite NSW having plenty of options in his position. NSW, just like QLD want to win the games at all costs, dont think youre all high and mighty mate. Take a look at your own team before throwing stones accross the border.
For the record, ive got no problem with Folou, Tahu or Tuqiri playing for their respective states as they're contracted to play NRL footy.
Yep that's the way I see it. AFL has fired the first big shots in a bigger war than Origin and QLD selectors have just given them some free Hand grenades to throw back at us!Oh please, what a joke. You know damn well the difference in NSW picking Tahu or Qld picking Tuqiri as opposed to Qld now picking Folau.
The guy has decided that his future is NOT with this code, let alone League.
I wouldnt even support this decision if he signed for Super League.
Iv been against the selection of Jamie Lyon for years and years. Im not gonna sit around and say he shouldnt be playing.
While im here, I dont think the selection of Folau is make or break for Qld to win, and even if it was, somethings (like the game itself) are more important then winning.
I see it as a Catch 22.
Select him and continue on like nothing has happened and you're failing to send a message to other code hoppers.
Or don't select him and stir the media into a frenzy.
Sort of like what happens when you ban a book or a movie.

Where was the media frenzy when he wasnt selected for Australia? Or where was it when Tahu made the switch to Union and didnt get selected for Origin in 07?
Tahu, Tuqiri and Folau have all made the decision that their future is not with this code. The only difference is that 2 of them later changed their minds and returned to the code. There is nothing to say that Folau wont eventually do the same thing. NSW picking Tahu is no different to QLD picking Folau
Selectors were questioned and the official reply was form.
The official response this time was because of the AFL.
Also surprise surprise, Tahu was injured during the entire Origin series in 2007.
Tahu was only injured from round 2 till round 11. Only injured for 1 Origin game, you were saying?
Where did you get that from?
My mistake, he injured himself in round 2, missed 9 games because of it, but didnt sit out for 9 weeks straight.
My point still stands however.
I would understand picking him if he was absolutely vital for a win. However having watched Lote play this year he would let nobody down and would be among the best wingers in the NRL. Is Lote paying too high a price for leaving the NRL in the first place?
For mine Lote has come back to the NRL signed for 3 years, I would pick him over the guy leaving to become the face of AFL in western Sydney.
This.
Why can NSW pick Tahu, but Queensland cant pick Lote?

Regardless of how much of a backflip it is and how much I disagree with Folau's selection on principle, it surely makes more sense to pick someone else if only to prepare for the future. And as Sunshine Coast Tiger said he's hardly vital for the win, I don't think QLD need to be scared they are going to lose without him or anything (though it now looks that way... baffling).
Folau is a lost cause, and a sellout, and will next year be actively trying to swing RL fans in western Sydney over to watch AFL. He's hardly integral to QLD's vitctory. Cut him.
Who cares about the future...the future is now! The future argument is rubbish! I mean NSW have selected hindmarsh and he aint 21.
