I just finished my rant about Cam in another section and now on to Folau. If losing Cam wasnt bad enough, to then go and try to sign up Folau!! This is meant to be a new beginning we were told and then they do this-wow this will really gain us some more supporters by signing Izzy up.What were they thinking?? Ive already handed over my money for this season again for 2 tickets. I thought things might be better-but this start is just plain lunacy. We lose one of our best players and then we go and try and stir up the biggest storm possible. Im really tired of all of this. As a supporter for over 60 yrs now, watching this downhill run by us eventually will take its toll. I try to watch football for enjoyment not to be constantly annoyed by the idiots who run us. Im watching V'Landys saying the 3 grades are returning and im so so happy, then i read what the Dragons are doing and the happiness is gone. Please bring back Wayne-at least then we could see a way to the top. At the moment we just rudderless and with a pack of dopey sharks desecrating our ground. Things have to get better than this surely

Mate I was thrilled when McFlop got given the boot. Now, with all of the quality players going around, signing with different clubs during the offseason, I was wondering why we hadn’t signed anyone significant. However, I had faith in Hook...thinking he knew what he was doing.

now we go after Folau...and I realise that not much has changed since McFlop left. NO GOOD PLAYER WANTS TO PLAY AT THIS CLUB...we are farked.

The irony of the media outlets coming out and saying how much of a circus the Folau situation is, we never should have entertained the idea, the club appears like it's a complete basket case, CEO uncontactable for comment, etc.

The club was a basket case long before this week. Where have you all been during the last seven or so years during the joke that was the ambition of Paul McGregor wanting to be a career coach?

I knew the NRL would make it hard. They asked for a heap of documents which would not have been possible in a short time. Getting legal documents from his court case with Rugby Union? Wow.

IMO the NRL always wanted to know what the public view would be re a return to the NRL for Folau but they were smart enough to ensure they didn't stick their necks out or incite a strong backlash.

No doubt in my mind they would have loved to welcome IF back but no way were they going to instigate any of it.

Along comes St GI and asks the NRL if "IF" could return and of course the NRL said by all means make a submission and we will consider it and by doing so appeased those that think IF is being discriminated against and astutely buying time to see what the other side of the coin looked like. Always able to run the argument we are an "inclusive" code on either side of the fence.

The backlash was so immediate and so intense and the NRL had very smartly made the hurdles almost insurmountable to jump.

As I said elsewhere our club had a "tin ear" and fell into the trap of asking the question the NRL wanted to know the answer to but were never going to ask themselves and we are left wearing all the consequences.

Primary school stuff "Pull my finger" on our part.

Always good to have a scapegoat..
I'm not even sure why I suggested it. But the shenanigans we're seeing are way too familiar. It just doesn't look like we're sailing on a tight ship. Hope to be wrong.

Are we about to lose another CEO?

I hope not.
From his appointment, he has come across as a positive proactive person with a 'can do' attitude.
Nowadays, there always seems to be that someone must be a scrapegoat to complete the process.
I don't see why there has to be.
The decision surely wasn't made by one person alone.

I guess its the old saying.
When its a win, its a team effort.
When it all goes pear shape, some poor barsteward cops it.

When the coach lets the captain go and then remarks that he would have preferred a few signings we have let slip, well, you got yourself a real problem.

Of course the Dragons media will try to divert our attention and sugar coat it in anyway possible.

All is STILL not well in Dragons land.

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark. We're in for a rocky ride. The glass is half empty. Not out of the woods. Looking for that light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm running out of metaphors.

Mary might have been sacked but our recruiter remains. Sack Millward because he hasn't got a clue.

The only reason people are still slightly positive and hopeful is because we haven’t played a game yet under Hook. Wait until we start getting lapped.

But this time the finger should not be pointed at the coach. What do we have to do to get a fresh board??
