You're absolutely correct Timmah.

It's an old rule exception that has been there since 2003.

Members will be limited to 2 images per sig file*.
*There will be exceptions with some image sig files being banners received as prizes in one of the forum competitions.

We started the Team of the year last year and the criteria was, the players with the highest Backpacker Points at seasons end would be the team of the year and All-Stars team for the opening match of the season against the marauders.

That way, it did away with controversy over who may have selected the side. Essentially the side is picked entirely on each individuals performance.

Last year there were two panthers players, this year there were 3 bluebags. It's just the way the cookie crumbles.

So griffo, the team picks itself, no one 'selects it'

I stand corrected, unit. (I can hear Mrs Jesbass already.)

That's really heartening. It means I was in the top 7 last year and I had no idea!

Congratulations to all individual award-winners, so many great writers in here.


From a team perspective, congratulations to my team ... to go from no-hopers to (almost) genuine contenders by the end of the season was a wonderful achievement, and hopefully in 2011 we can keep our team together and start to score better with the experience gained from 2010 (after so many of us were rookies!).

Finally, may I ask what the Backpacker award is??

second best score= 2pts
third best score=1point

The award is named after one of the forums former members and passionate F7's player, ref and organiser/official, under the name Backpacker, who passed away a few years ago.

I am pleased to note that titsandtans has made the Marauders train-on squad - he doesn't say much on here but you leave him out at your peril.

Also I think he should be runner-up or at least get an honorable mention in the banner creators award (Titans, Queensland and PNG) ... who could forget Juicy Jesbass.

He or she trains. Everyone else catches the bus.

Every season, a Forum Sevens All Stars team is selected. The following year, that team plays an invitational side called The Marauders as an exhibition opening to the new season.

The Marauders train on squad doesn't actually exist - that was just an extended list of writers that madunit thought wouldn't look out of place in a Marauders jersey, but Non Terminator (I believe) has final say on who should make the side.
