Fui is an enigma, apparently he doesn't say much at all at training sessions and doesn't really give interviews but a non footballing contact, who is a mutual friend of Fui's has told me that he actually speaks fluent English in different enviorements.

put a baby near him and he crumbles into lalala land!!

Maurie Faasavalu at Saints is the same.

Although he could'nt speak 1 word of English 2 years ago.

His also better than Fui Fui - imo

He is a great player, isn't he?

And with him in our team, doesn't our bench look the goods:

Marsh
Widders
Moi Moi
Vella

Plus others like Peek, Cannings, etc.

That's a damn strong bench.

Marsh
Widders
Moi Moi
Vella

Easily our strongest bench and probably the reason we won a lot of games this year.

I agree UTE!

And I think another person who often gets un-noticed in terms of accolades is Micky Vella - I think he really helps out Piggy and Marsh, with his quick play-the-balls.

If I was coach my strongest team would be (going on season 2005)

1. Wade
2. Guru
3. Tahu
4. Benny
5. Burt ** Sideshow
6. Morris
7. Timmy
8. Caylo
9. Piggy
10. Striger
11. Hindy
12. Morro
13. Wags

14. Marsh
15. Widders
16. Moi Moi
17. Vella

18. Peek (front row reserve)
19. Robinson (2nd row reserve)

** Burt deserves first shot after strong finish to the season

Maurie Faasavalu is the dogs bo*locks!!

Awesome talent and same style of player but a little bit better imo.

He was a rugby union star at the world cup - he then signed for us and was stuck in our under 21's for a season where he looked poor!! slow round the play the ball and often placed the ball down ( like they do in union ).

However after Millward got sacked we gave him a go at the first team on a regular basis and the guy is awesome!!!!!

Also does the Samoan Haka every time he scores.

Put it one way.... it'd be a awesome battle with these 2 guys on the pitch.

The fact is Faasavalu isent your typical NRL gobs*ite!

He blows kisses in oponents faces and laughs! very quiet guy who gets on with the job. ( one of them guys that rival teams like because of their personality).

Mean offload, fantastic strength and a massive hitter.

Infact it would'nt surprise me if a NRL club snapped him up next year.

He choose a career in league rather than having a choice to play for NSW Waratahs or Aukland blues.

You have been warned!!! Maurie Faasavalu will be playing in the best comp for the best team in 2006!
