Would you care to bet? Did he state that the referees cheated or were biased> Nope. In fact from said article -

You compare that to what was in the tweet and it is very different. He stated that is their opinion, he indicated he could be biased himself and said he did not know if there is any fact in it. If you can't see that difference, then I doubt anyone can help you.

That’s what Robinson said, not what Tedesco said. If you can’t tell the difference between Robinson and Tedesco, I doubt anyone can help you.

Tedesco said that the referee referees Radley differently from other players, implying prejudice and profiling. If you can’t see how that’s an attack of the referee’s integrity, I doubt anyone can help you.

Jason Paris doesn’t captain or coach the NZ Warriors FYI

and that’s a very generous modification of Tedesco’s comments- which, to be honest, I’m not angry at. It’s a fair inquiry- maybe a little close to the line.

But what’s good for the golden goose is good for the gander. If Tedesco can say what he said without sanction, then someone who is not in the employ of the game can certainly say what Paris said without sanction.

The irony is if Tohu Harris (or some other NRL captains, perhaps) had said what James Tedesco said on the field, Tohu would have immediately been sent off, banned for weeks, and fined to pieces. And therein lies the problem.

Im aware of that ,
that being ... a ...... difference to a coach or player making claims.

Tedsecos effort was milder IMO & while approaching a line , not worthy of punishment like many other coaches etc have been.
Paris's comments were not mild in the slightest & not being a player or official is why the referees union is threatening action because the NRL can't take any.

It's one thing to say they stuffed up. Its quite another to say "you got it wrong because you are biased against us, or cheated us".
But the issue is it's an ongoing problem which is the cause of this bleating from NZ. I know all teams will get decisions that go against them but some of it is diabolical. You can't deny unconscious bias by saying we aren't. That's the whole point of unconscious bias. It was a big mistake for Paris to say what he said but hopefully better scrutiny of the bunker might come out of this. The refs on the field call it as they see it and will make errors as we all would.

lol @ suing him. Freedom of speech.

I still wanna know why the tackle on Harris went unpunished. Maybe not bias, but f**k we have some incompetent refs running around.

He isn't trying to prove it though.

It's the Match Officials that would have to prove it doesn't occur, IF they were to take him to court.

Not that I think they will.
That’s not correct. If the Match Officials were e to sue, it would be up to the sponsor to prove that he has proof that the MOs are cheating.

I posted this because I had a vague recollection of a normally mild-mannered Australian player having a go at the ref and it was bothering me that I couldn't remember who it was. It was Blake Green.

It seems to me that a lot of Aussie players that come and play for us are a bit shocked at how we are reffed.

Also, Ben Cummins is consistently a dick to us.

Well if he was gunna sue Paris, he better sue campion aswell.

He's basically saying the same thing

As are 1000 people, every week, about different referees, players, teams and incidents...I don't know why they have such a massive hard on over this one.

Then what are we talking about?
someone asked why the referees union didn't threaten legal action against players or officials for attacks on them , I said that was because they fall under the control of the NRL
