Agree, some just always seem to get the rub of the green.

I heard somebody say that the referees (or some, at least) do tend to officiate in a way that rewards the dominate the ruck. That makes some sense to me and might explain where a perceived imbalance may come from. If you want to get the rub of the green, dominate the ruck- I could live with that. Still, I'm not sure that this is all there is to it.

its not really ,
everyone gets dudded , theres nothing more to be said
anything else is just perception

Refereeing standards have not kept up with the improvement in playing standards , even with the massive increase in payments & fulltime professionalism of officials they still derp it up on a weekly basis & it doesn't matter whos playing.

Yeah, look, we're close to agreement, I suppose...but what you're saying just doesn't hold up in court. Some teams just get dudded more often than others. The Warriors are one of those teams- not the only one, but one of them.

Whoever is the bookies fave gets the rub of the green. Its always this way.
Refs mind" oh team x is losing. They are supposed to be winning. The other team must be doing something wrong and i missed it. " Ref then looks for more reasons to ping the underdog.

As many have said, I don’t think it’s deliberate, the refs are just not very good and the Wahs seem to cop it the most. Too many Sutton’s involved.

Funnily enough, Chris Sutton is probably the ref who is best to us.

Agree, but this has been going on longer than that, when the warriors came in, there wasn't any of this speeding up the ptb stuff and dominant tackles we see nowadays and it was happening back then. You are right and wrong at the same time lol. Poor Warriors fans, I thought it was hard following the eels, ha, they got nothing on the Warriors.

Realistically if you're not Penrith (and only in recent years), the Bunnies, Melbourne, the Roosters or Brisbane....the refs are going to dud you across a game at some stage. Even those teams get individual shit calls against them.

There are tiers of dudding...like as a Parra fan we still cop some shockers when we're on the back foot but the refs love us when we've got momentum. I think the Warriors maybe come across as more dudded than others because I've never met anyone who doesn't have a bit of a soft spot for them? Like objectively I care about the standard of refereeing as a fan but subjectively if Manly get dudded I'm not upset about it because they deserve it

Try getting f**ked over in a Grand Final like the Raiders were in 2019

then you can have a whinge

Wouldn't it be great if we never had to associate certain teams with getting routinely f**ked over and certain other teams with being routinely kissed on the dick? That's what we're after here.

Parra in 09 against the Storm who were way over the cap. I remember before the storms 1st try a forward was called held and he got back up and ran again, the ref let it go and they scored on the next play. Then there was that decade were parra started coming good in the late 90s and everytime we got in the semis, we'd get that Bill f**king Harrigan reffing us, we never made got past a prelim 3 years straight. Then when we did make the GF in 01, Billy boy was there and made sure the not so perfect Newcastle, seemed to have a perfect 1st half. I watched it and it was no where near perfect. Billy boy made sure it was tho.

Storm being way over the cap in 09 had nothing to do with the refs
& we all have stories

the warriors whinge is just another tale in a long book

Also team x just happens to have perfect discipline when they are losing, but for some reason they throw that all away the moment that they get far enough ahead

Why are you still whinging about 4 years ago when you just said it all evens up so nobody can complain?
who says we won't get a call go our way like that in a GF at some point?
hence there is no conspiracy as I pointed out

do try & keep up with the adults pal

Oh right, so in 20 years when you next make a GF you might get a call that evens out against one from 25 years before. Yeah that is a great endorsement of the refereeing
