The Game Future NRL Stadiums part II

Tigers are already playing games at CB, why not take a final there?

I did assume the dragons would want to play finals games at the brand new SFS. I could be wrong.
There are teenagers who've never seen the Tigers play a finals game...

But yes, if they get in the eight and earn a home final it should be played at Parramatta Stadium.

I'll bet (metaphorically) any money the Paceway gets if it isn't forced to wind up for having no reason to exist will go to buying pokie licences.

Clubs NSW has some of the greatest marketing I've ever seen in convincing people they operate community facilities rather than casinos with a bistro.

Both options mentioned in the articles are better locations for the club side of it, Even better when they double or triple the pokies inside

I don't think that is correct.

Dragons would surely play week 1 at Kogarah or Wollongong and Wollongong is eligible for week 2 games as well.

I don't see why tigers wouldn't play week 1 at Campbelltown or Leichardt.

Teams will play at what ground gives them the best chance to win, So yep all of these

What's the point of PVL demanding new stadia if he's not going to make teams use them when they're built?

Every club that chooses a suburban ground over Parramatta Stadium and the SFS is giving the government and tax payers a reason to oppose any more upgrades.

err did you miss the bit where he isnt demanding new stadia at all? He wants tarting up of suburban grounds. In fact he has, yes as unbelievable as it seems, actually criticized the new stadium lol
Vlandys is old school and thinks 15k in suburbia for a finals game is a triumph for the sport. End of day its the game that's losing money, not the clubs, when it comes to finals venues so up to the commission to decide if they are happy to lose money to appease these left behind clubs.

At least Penrith can hold 20k.
Of course you want all the finals at big stadiums especially all finals involving the Roosters to be at Allianz even if they don’t merit a home final! Typical Roosters attitude!
The roosters haven't had a single non home final at the SFS since home finals started you little sook and I would have no problem with Sharks, Dragons, Souths etc. taking a home final against us to one of the other 2 options.

Personally I would be embarrassed if my team thought so lowly of it's fans that they assume only 12k will turn up to a finals game.
Except that is NOT what they are thinking at all, they want to play at our fortress where we have only lost one game all year! Last prelim final we played at SFS we had 37,000 Sharks fans there, which will the same again this year after winning our first semi at Shark park!

What gives you best chance to likely beat the Storm,

Playing in a nice new shiny stadium or at Shark Park?

Really is a no brainer

Hahaha f**k me.

Ok so all teams in all sports just don’t need or want a home ground advantage.

You really need to have some one proof read your posts .
And you need to be a little more analytical before getting all outraged!

I'd argue the main benefit of so called home ground advantage is in having the majority of the fans behind you, cheering you on and badgering the ref for decisions. Not the physical venue.
Now if your playing at another stadium where the majority of the fans attending are yours do you really lose much in 'home ground advantage'? I'd suggest not.

Time for PVL to be carted off to the loony bin. He's done some good things, but his insane favouritism towards shithouse suburban grounds is the sort of mentality I'd expect from a 79yo demented hillbilly who thinks we should go back to using black and white TVs, landline phones and newspapers.

If he costs the game money by having finals games played at suburban dumps then he's a liability and needs to go. That's money our game could be spending on grassroots funding.
