Latest on the construction of Te Kaha (Christchutch stadium), due to open April 2026.
First look at Christchurch's new Te Kaha stadium as 2026 opening target set
Media were given a glimpse at the progress of the Crusaders' new home ground.www.newshub.co.nz
25k permanent with temporary seats boosting capacity to 30k. Perfect for both the Crusaders and a 2nd NZ side (RL Park currently only holds 18.6k and it's all temporary stands)Potential ground for a second NZ team. What will be the capacity of the stadium at Christchurch?
So I should be posting a lot about a Perth nrl team thenYou should stick to posting things you know something about, ie nothing.
Yep, and the real big plus is that it's a fully covered stadium - so in the very cold southern winter crowd comfort will be better than ever, and players will have every chance to play attractive & open footy.25k permanent with temporary seats boosting capacity to 30k. Don't be so naive, if the upgrade was "desperate" you just claim safety concerns or something, something women's sport etc. We've all seen how this game is played politically.Yeah great for the game, until you desperately need a stadium upgrade, or some other significant investment from the taxpayer, but there's no political or public will to support it because millions and billions of dollars have been frivolously wasted slapping lipstick on pigs.
Especially so when there're serviceable alternatives that meet the team's needs 30mins away...
Says the guy trying to educate people who live in Sydney on how long it takes to get around the place. You should stick to posting things you know something about, ie nothing.
Well the train timetable say you can get there in 30 mins....ffsSays the guy trying to educate people who live in Sydney on how long it takes to get around the place.

If the NRL want product for TV that's really watchable, games there will guarantee great playing conditions.
