Interesting, it seems to be a now wests tigers led development on the bulldogs land? Even though i thought the bulldogs were investigating doing the same thing on the site with building apartments, commercial buildings and a stadium.

Nope, the article states its the 'oasis' land the bulldogs have owned for years and is expected to be worth 50 million dollars if they sell it.

Yeh fair enough

then the tigers bid has no chance of happening

dogs aren’t going to sell it so tigers can benefit

Just do a gws and get a new one built at Campbelltown

it looks like the dogs are going to get the approval anyway so the tigers can only be a tenant

if dogs move to Liverpool tigers may as well give up on Campbelltown

Yep, weird for a club to be proposing a development with some taxpayer funds and council support on land owned by another club who have their own proposal for a bigger stadium and development that is privately funded but not supported by the council.

What they are proposing is for the state govt to buy it off the dogs for 60 mill then rezone the land for high rise so the profits from the development will reduce the net cost of the stadium to 100 mill. For a 20k capacity

the dogs have gone to the nsw planning department to get their land rezoned and the article mentions it looks very positive. They will then do a cronullls selling the units and hotels to a developer to build them their own stadium l. 45k and retractable roof

tigers are dopes they’ve heard about the dogs plans and know they will takeover the area

probably leaked by the tigers boss to save his job

And then there is this, the Nrl was also looking at the same site to own a stadium and have the dogs and tigers play there.

45k roofed stadium would cost 600 million plus so yeh they might need a partner to fund it

joint ownership between the dogs and nrl

Tigers brought losing Campbelltown on themselves
Dogs area stretching from belmore to past Liverpool would be a massive catchment

and a short trip up the m5 from Bankstown to Liverpool works for doggies fans in the south west

if it happens tigers could be pushed out of Sydney

“With the City of Liverpool setting its sights on a prosperous and sustainable future, releasing its long-term Community Strategic Plan, Growing Liverpool 2023, it is believed the two sides will be able to reach a solution, with the Community Strategic Plan outlining a vision for the city, focusing on the promotion of a thriving economy, the creation of a safe, healthy and liveable urban environment, and the development of sustainable infrastructure that protects and enhances the natural environment.

The proposed planning proposal, which is currently under consideration, is seen as a step in the right direction towards achieving these goals”

Why did the nrl proposal fall over? Bulldogs wanting to do it themselves?
both of these sound like the manly proposal that fell flat on its face.

Why 20k? Something in the 25-40k range shared by Dogs & Tigers would be perfect. Or 45k of Dogs get their way by all means. Doubt it will happen though.

Interesting hosting decision by Fifa for 2030.could be the blueprint for this region realistically hosting a World Cup.

Australia, NZ, Japan and Indonesia possible joint host countries with final 16 in Australia or Japan.

Yeah, unlike the other two cases of "toe to toe" clubs - Rabbitohs/Roosters & Dragons/Sharks, it sounds like there's still some major jostling over territory & reach for the Bulldogs & Tigers.
