Yes, if we can end up with something similar to that, with some better roof coverage, it won't be a bad compromise even if levels 4 and 6 don't change.
Still lipstick on a pig though.

One positive is it might help convince more teams to take matches to parramatta. Ultimately I think that’s a better option for growing crowds.

Leave ANZ for double headers & Good Friday, Dogs V Parra etc, but the middle to lower tier matches at parramatta.

I agree wholeheartedly but that's a tough decision to make for some of the clubs, particularly Souths and the Bulldogs.
I've said it before and I'm not Einstein here, but it's a far better experience to have 30000 people in a 30000 capacity stadium than it is in a 70000 capacity. That's what gets fans coming back - the atmosphere and game day experience.

It’s a once in a generation chance to get it right, and they’ve stuffed it. Maybe in another 30-40years Sydney will get a decent national rugby league sized stadium like it should have!

As said hopefully clubs will be convinced to take games to WS stadium and allianz more but I doubt it, they clearly don’t care that much about fan experience now so hard to see it changing.

Agree, it’ll be tough to convince them.

My hope is in the 2 years they play at parramatta when ANZ is being redone they see the benefits.

It’ll also be interesting to see if Souths choose the SCG or parramatta for their home ground.

Maybe, just maybe, that might change when they all see how good the New Western Sydney Stadium will be.
IMO, it will be the best RL/Football stadium in the country. Purpose built for rectangular sports and the right size as well. AAMI Park is ok but this will be better.

And to think I'd decided to vote Coalition next year in the state election based on them sticking to their guns on this issue. Meh, I'll be registered in Willoughby, they won't miss that vote.

The people who should be kicking up a stink are those from Penrith and the west of Sydney.
Stuart Ayres........local member for Penrith and Minister for Western Sydney and all he has done is screw that demographic and suck up to his mates from the east for nothing more than political gain.
f**kwit.

First stuff up thinking AFL would take 60 games there over 10 year period so we keep it oval shaped

2nd mistake wasting $800 million on reconfiguration that is totally inferior to the $750 million one announced in 2016 that includes a roof and all 6 levels coming 40 metres forward.

We will be stuck with an so so stadium for 40 years

Well, thanks to dipstick Foley, Chardonnay socialist Peter Pelicanhead and the traitorous Staurt Ayres, they managed to force a change to ANZ to please the city toffs, and the West who don't count to anyone east of Victoria Road get a refurbished stadium. They will still spend billions on health and education, and the noisemakers from the inner city get their way.

The TV and even 2GB think they are broadcasting to people who live within 5 kms of the CBD, and Gladys fell victim to the cowards in her own party. Foley and those morons deserve to stay out of govt for a lot longer, just focussed on the greenie inner city votes. That's politics in Australia currently.

This is exactly the reason we are in this mess now.
$1 million from the AFL and now we need to spend well over a billion to get it fixed properly, and even that isn't happening.
Not to mention the other 10's of millions they have sucked out of local and state govt for Blacktown, Spotless and their training facilities at Homebush.
That sport are f**king leaches and our politicians are spineless.
