Great opportunity for the Titans to become the regional South Queensland team....

The should be speaking to every council south of Rockhampton and north of Tamworth with a grounds that can hold more than 10k. It would be great community engagement with areas that never get NRL (the Broncos will never be able to do this) and it could have positive flow on effects with these regional fans then traveling to Robina for games.

Cutting their GC games to 6 per year for a few season could be the best thing to happen to the club...

Stadiums QLD are a f**king disgrace. What they did in TVL 10 odd years years ago with the food and beverage vendor contracts at DairyFarmers/1300’s was borederline criminal. Gold Coast market is hard enough without this insanity, I’m surprised it’s taken this long to come to a head.

Their current contract is up at the end of this month and they have said that playing in Toowoomba and Gladstone have been more commercially viable for them than CBUS despite the lower attendances. I think the Titans are timing this to put pressure on Stadiums QLD to reduce the rent.

The article today says the Gladstone & Toowoomba games were commercially successful.

If they can use the strategy to get a better deal at CBUS it likely makes long term sense.

Anymore than a couple of games would be pushing it though.

Q’land tax payers paid $160mill to build them a stadium, don’t think its unreasonable to get some of it back as long as it is sustainable for Titans, andif they get back to where they were it would be.
