Not much run off.

eg looks like Darius last night would have hit that flashy signage hard when Vunivalu shoved him.

Anyone know how much run off there is? Might end up with Fergo in your lap.

50 points if you catch the Moses pass meant for him.

Probably built to a minimum standard, as well as to keep within the stands c value (the angle at which all patrons can see the touch line over the head of those in front). I know UEFA maintains a minimum distance of 10m from crowd to touchlines, but I’m not sure whether we’d follow the same standards.

Because of the stadium upgrade, will this mean if Eels ever make the finals again they will get to play out of their own stadium?

21.8 Mill surplus is for the stadiums only ... That does not account for the $ for the local economy at the
Hotels/clubs, restaurants and accommodation. That is why government build these facilities... they get a
10% cut of everything through the GST.
See below as an example.

https://www.news.com.au/sport/nrl/n...g/news-story/db4c853dedff604254eeada80893c044

And that is with a Sydney team in the GF.

These 2 GF's would have raked it in for NSW.
2017 Storm vs Cowboys
2015 Cowboys vs Broncos

These new stadiums are a good investment for NSW.

For NRL yes. Add RU, Soccer, concerts etc and there is a need
If we take the NRL teams out of these 2 stadiums and make them use their own stadiums its free's up the 2 bigger ones for the concerts and soccer etc.

There is honestly nothing worse than watching Roosters and Bulldogs games with less than 10k people in 80k seat stadium. It's embarrassing.

Reported on tv news today that Daley's latest brain fart is a refurbished SFS if that is possible, or a cheaper smaller stadium if not.

That’s what we should have done on the first place. We only need a stadium like Parras there. Save the money and put it towards ANZ or another world class stadium with a large capacity.

SFS right now fills a weird middle ground which really isn’t necessary.

build another parra style in it’s place but another few more rows into the lower and upper stands and take the capacity up to 40k flat and boom, done. f**k the bells and fruitery facade they wanted, if
it saves 300mil by making a more austere version than so be it.

ANZ still needs to be knocked down though.

True, but Labor won't devote anything to ANZ. It'll be left the same.

Which won't be a bad decision in the long run. It means in 10 - 15 years time ANZ will need to be pretty much completely torn down.

Spend $300mill building another wss, take it away from scg management to deal with membership issue. Labor gets to announce it saved the tax payer $450mill, clubs get a modern perfect sized stadium. Everyone’s happy.

Not a bad outcome, fans around the country get to enjoy it, nrl gets a shed load of extra cash, anz stays as is for a few years then is done properly with a new state of the art 80k stadium like Emirates or Wembley.
