But Ms Keneally the former Premier, whilst having a hopeless team, is photogenic..

She inherited a poison chalice when she took over as Labor leader, the damage had already been done by Carr, Lemma and Rees, a shame because I liked Kristina and had a few dealings with her when she was the member for Heffron, I think she could done a lot as premier but the Labor name was so damaged and on the nose by the time she came in.

She was very close to those who poisoned the chalice, they effectively picked her to be premier.

After she was elevated to premier she installed Ian Macdonald back into cabinet, this was the price for her elevation. MacDonald was later found to be corrupt by the NSW ICAC.

I remember Eddie Obeid vote was crucial for Kristina to become premier and then she testified against him at ICAC.

I love how you can see the pool in the left hand side of the pic, that pool was a godsend at times when I was working at Kensington, gave me a chance to have some exercise or a relax before or after work.
Looking at the stadium walking out of the Roosters vs Broncos game the other week I jokingly
said to a mate, it looks like the stadium for the Athens Olympics in 2004 two weeks out before the opening ceremony.

I like her ,but she had too many hopeless people prior and working for her in her brief reign. If she picked them in her ministry, some of them failed.Hence why her Govt was turfed.
She would have done a heaps better job than Daley and probably would have got into Govt.

The trouble is the image she gives now ,with here statement not mine for the Fed election"Come and see me when the bus comes into town, and get a selfie with me." Look it's about me not the Leader.Just got along and help elect the Govt you prefer.

It won’t be long till a large majority of NRL games are run out of world class stadiums.

We already have Suncorp, AAMI and bankwest. Townsville next year with the new SFS and slightly less munted ANZ to follow. Robina and MJS decent too (aside from Robina location) - just need titans to improve, when they averaged 18k+ it was buzzing.

Next few years should be really good.

Its funny a still feel a touch of sadness when I see a place that was packed full of so many great memories getting torn down. I drive pass the site of the Entertainment Centre everyday and still today feel that sense of sadness, its worse though as it wasn't replaced!

Bob Carr would never have used government money to rebuild these three stadiums. Of course, if the Chinese government instructed him to do so, that would be another matter.

He would have agreed, if he could re stage the American Civil War(one of his favourite interests) in one of the stadiums.

The sorely needed maintenance work on the north stand at WIN certainly made a difference to the game day experience up there tonight.

No longer feels like sitting in rusty scaffolding.

what did they do to it?

There was a rusted load bearing steel girder that needed replacing. For the past 2-3 seasons there was a scaffold clad vertical beam right in the middle of a central bay obstructing several hundred seats and casting a shadow on many more. They also replaced some corrugated panels.

I only just realised today’s game isn’t on ch9. I never watch them do had no idea (thought it’d be a special occasion like ANZAC day)

Rugby League continues to be run by absolute muppets, and how’d the NSW govt not demand a free to air game for the opening?!

Astounding.
