Bankwest for Western Sydney teams, new SFS for mid/eastern/southern Sydney teams, Suncorp is already perfect, new NQ stadium will be good when it opens, AAMI park is good, and so is Mc Jones and Robina and I guess Canberra. Fix up Cronulla/Wollongong and Manly stadiums and fix ANZ for the doggies and the NRL will literally be perfect, stadium wise. This surely should bring the crowds back after todays great example. Games like we saw today really makes me look forward to the future of both NRL and stadiums within Australia.

So thats what $360M buys you. I’d assume for another $100M or so you could scale that design up another 10-15K.
Anyone care to tell me what the other $200M+ at Moore Park is for?

Imagine a Bankwest at Campbelltown? With the NRL making the Tigers play all their home games there and concentrate spending the money on grooming the Campbelltown/Narellan/Camden/Macathur region, mining the 10,000's of RL fans and juniors out there. A 20 year plan which should have started in 2000 should start tomorrow with the NRL petitioning the NSW State Govt and Wests Tigers to make it so.

Auckland needs some planning too. Mt Smart is average now, and the Warriors have another 10 years to go there. It’ll be way behind standard by then.
Unfortunately Auckland has been hobbled by similar problems to Sydney, with a bunch of stadiums that all have their drawbacks. This largely stemmed from the old council arrangement where there were 4 separate city councils and none would support the others stadiums. With the new super city council setup that is no longer the case and both the Warriors and Auckland rugby union need to join forces and push for a new rectangular stadium in the central city area. Probably needs to be around 50k capacity. I’d personally be in favour of selling off a Eden Park to partially fund it as it’s in a residential area and has issues with noise/light complaints.

Alternatively they need to commit to upgrading Mt Smart, extending the eastern stand around the south end to join up with the western stand would be a great start.

I only just realised today’s game isn’t on ch9. I never watch them do had no idea (thought it’d be a special occasion like ANZAC day)

Rugby League continues to be run by absolute muppets, and how’d the NSW govt not demand a free to air game for the opening?!

Astounding.
And it's easter Monday ffs.

The Broncos might rate but not for long when they play like busted arseholes.

ANZ is closer to the inner city.

Dog's heartland is realistically more Bankstown area than Canterbury and is reasonably close to both venues. Marginally closer to ANZ though

I still can’t understand why they need anything more than this.
Copy this then do ANZ properly.

A proper ANZ will should copy this, Borussia Dortmund's stadium

The exterior and roof can be different, but the stands give it an amazing atmosphere
