Jersey sponsors yes and are but Teams have 50-100 sponsors. They are local Real Estates, Tradies etc they support the local teams not teams 40km away

Ok so revenue is pretty irrelevant... What was their game day profit/loss after expenses?

That’s much harder to determine on the detail available in financial reports and depends what you include and exclude. for example sharks don’t pay rent but do Have to pay stadium maintaninence and running costs of game day events, where as eels pay rent but no other running costs.
if you purely looked at venue cost and cost of providing corporates with their sausage rolls then you could get a figure but it wouldnt neccessarily be an accurate reflection of profit/loss.
xlubs like tigers with multiple venues don’t differentiate in their financials so now ay of breaking it down by venue.
logic would imply that if you can sell an extra 5-10k tickets and double the corporate suites at a new stadium profit will go up.

$5-50k depending on what they are buying. Like I said they are sponsoring a local side usually as they are fans who’ve done ok on their business, not a local venue lol.

Every club doesn't have the same deal with Venues NSW... Some might have a fixed price per season but over a certain crowd # they might a get an extra % of the gatetakings.

Problem is you are in a minority, as can be proven by crowds at these traditional grounds for most games. Times move on and people expect more than a grass hill and a meat pie in the 21st century.
eels getting 20k plus crowds is showing what can be possible, and we haven’t even really started trying to significantly boost crowds yet.
I defy anyone who was at the eels v panthers game I was at a few weeks ago to tell me that tribalism is diminished in a new stadium and that 28k in commbank isn’t a better experience and look for the game than 15k at a suburban ground.

But then Eels get the home ground advantage over the Panthers, so essentially the difference between coming 1st and 4th is the JJ Giltinan Shield and 100k prize money (or what ever it is)

There needs to be a home ground advantage for teams that get the home game. End of story.

Dubbo and somewhere else (likely Gosford). It's unknown what happens in regards to South's Sunshine Coast home game now that the Dolphins have committed to at least two home games there next year

Indeed. In fact Souths publicly stated that they moved to what is now Accor Stadium from the old SFS, as they could not get the same type of lease deal as the Roosters did (iirc in relation to pricing).

Bit of both, some buy a box for games, some buy a minor sponsorship package for the season.

it’s just a rental deal now

south’s used to have a terrible rent at the sfs compared to the roosters
