Major events will be at the stadium with the appropriate capacity in the region.

Any event in a radius of Gosford, Katoomba and Wollongong will always be at the SFS or Homebush if the promoter believes they can get the crowd.

People in Camden will go to Moore Park for Taylor Swift or whoever. The extra half hour each way isn't go to deter them.

Any smaller show in the same region on a tour will be hyper expensive at a theatre venue in the major city

The NRL is continuing to apply pressure on the ACT Govt re the state of Canberra Stadium. Its good to see.
RA & SA / professional soccer leagues , need to chime in now too with their gripes about the potential missed opportunities

Thanks for posting mate. I reckon the NRL should be more definitive about what games they want to feature there. Anzac Day clashes, tests, women’s state of origin (yes there was one already) immediately come to mind.

The amount of acts that would warrant a stadium tour is quite limited and the lifting of the cap will cover additional shows.

In addition to that one of the biggest music promoters in the world AEG runs Qudos Bank Arena so I wouldn't see them moving shows out to Penrith given the likelihood that the stadium would have a roof as well as not pushing revenue through a venue they own.

Penrith is a lot of money for single use. Let panthers upgrade & expand grand stands if they think they can draw bigger crowds

yes - NRL should promise a certain number of big games once the stadium is built. They could even join up with the ARU and soccer

Perth did a well and Optus is a great venue that can hold 70k for concerts so not sure it’s just a capacity issue. Now a days big concerts are like sports events were govt’s are actually paying the artists to come. They are all bidding against each other.
