During the summer months, will they install something on the field to make it interesting so the fans don't turn away from the field?

anyone suggesting the wanderers are a bigger entity then parramatta need their heads read

Parramatta have followers in every city & town in the country
literally hundreds of thousands across the nation & globe

if the wanderers had 10 followers outside of the 15K sydney based bouncy wouncy ning nongs who face the wrong way at matches

Id be astounded

Looks like the stadium will have an adaptable standing terrace behind the posts like sme German soccer clubs. The journo seems to oblivious to the standing terrace at nib stadium though lol.

But it's also understood the club have been told their request for a section of safe standing seats behind goal has been approved and will be implemented.

It means vocal active supporter group, the Red and Black Bloc, will become the first in Australia to experience a dedicated standing end.

Safe standing has been used in Europe for some time and, in Germany in particular, proven to be a resounding atmospheric success.

"One prime consideration for us is safe standing," Tsatsimas said.

"It allows a certain number of people to stand, dance and be vocal and more vociferous than your normal punter at a match, and will be an exciting proposition."

It's unclear whether Sydney derbies will be held at the redeveloped stadium.

The record-breaking 61,880 who turned up to the round-one derby at ANZ Stadium in October suggests a much larger venue would better cater for the fixture's increasing popularity.

It's my understanding the transport is a part of the plans to help feed these stadia.

Unfortunately, it's not.

Parramatta is, however, a very big transit hub so the new stadium will be well served by that.

ANZ, it seems, will benefit from the recently announced Sydney West metro (though I have my doubts about whether it will be built), but this is much more a case of convenient coincidence than any kind of pragmatic or integrated planning measures.

The NSW stadia strategy and its subsequent implementation report didn't even mention the south east light rail in reference to its service of the SFS because it would be too easy for opponents of either project to point out that both projects were heavily influenced by the boys club that is the SCG Trust. The light rail brings arguably little value to the SFS anyway because it is immediately expected to be running at 120% of capacity during peak hour and the SFS has a very high prevalence of Friday and Monday games.

Unless ANZ is serviced from Strathfield by direct transport it will continue to be very difficult for anyone north of the Parramatta River by public transport

It's just a matter of time until Olympic park is intergrated into the main line.

But aside from that it's also been announced that the new Parramatta light rail will run to Olympic park & there is talk that a high speed rail connecting badgers's creek with the CBD will go through there too.

All mentioned in the 2030 master plan

NSW building costs would have to be significantly higher than QLD , just the way it is.

Plus the 10 year difference in the builds.

The end goal for this stadium from an NRL perspective should be to host home games for a number of teams , but mostly for out of Sydney away teams.

Big Sydney derby's need to be outgrowing this stadium & should be held at a revamped ANZ.

Actually, that part of the Parramatta light rail will be scraped (hopefully) in favour of the Sydney West Metro.

Robina is great but this looks better, which being a decade newer you'd expect.
100% of the seats being under cover should also be a big help for drawing crowds.
