I've been as down on Brails as the next guy for a while now, but there's no denying he's playing the best he has for years now.
Promising signs indeed.

One thing I have been mulling over recently is, touch wood, I can't remember the last time missed a game through injury. No mean feat when you clock up 40+ tackles week in, week out.
He's obviously meticulous with his prep and rehab.
Picking scores is not the only way to become Jonah worthy LOL

On Atkinson - meh.
He did some good things, but none of them the kind of things I'm looking for from my five eighth.
I feel he's only warming the seat till either Tricky returns or Dykes is ready.
I think he's feeling his way in and will be persisted with now he's there.

Remember the old saying. Never give a sucker an even break. He's been given one and has the chance to make the spot his.

I thought he was better than adequate considering the short prep he would have had and never having partnered Nicho in an NRL game. There were no howlers from him.

Nicho really looked after him to allow him to ease into the game. Nicho was everywhere in that game. Right lane, left lane, middle lane. He played the whole field and too enormous pressure of Atko who wisely took advantage of that and didn't overplay.

Debut rating = 7 (I'm not counting the cameos)

Think Fitz has the same approach with all debutantes....get the little things right...make ur tackles...no mistakes etc. I thought he ticked all those boxes tbh
