Game Day v Tigers

Well forward passes arent allowed. Maybe look it up?

If the refs did their job Nathan Brown should've been binned for swearing at the ref

Or if the refs correctly ruled the high tackle on Teddy we probably win

We were cruising at 22-10 and your man cruised home for you guys to steal it at the end.

I think Moeroa should've been binned for holding down Tedesco. Brown binned? lol - who ever gets binned for that?

I have no gripe with forward passes being ruled forward - I'm suggesting to you that your team was not 'dominant' for the bulk of the game as you suggest.

As for 'crushing us' on the scoreboard, yes, you scored 2 soft tries from dummy half/ one off the ruck to open up a 12 point lead, but really most of your damage was done in the 20 minutes leading up to halftime, apart from that period you were under the pump.

The Eels dominated the back end of the game, the last 30 minutes, and never looked in doubt to put the game away. Unlucky Gutherson bobbled the ball and didn't make it 30-22 late. But that's the kind of day it was for the Eels, forward passes, bobbles and dropsies, and kept the Tigers in the game as a result.

If you think it was all on Moses giving the win up... wow. Grow up.

Mind you, I'm hoping he brings home a win for us this weekend?? Pass him over please?

If you accept that we aren't a Top 4 side then why compare us to them?

God's fruit? I reckon he was taking a nugget when someone pitched the idea of a lemon.

When did I compare us to a top 4 team? you brought up the top 4 hombre.

I said we need to improve to be competitive in the competition

We will improve with Edwards back.
Hey is one of our key attacking players.

Last year both Edwards and Ma'u made 0.18 carries per minute. The only edge forwards who carried the ball more were Tohu Harris and Wade Graham, both with 0.19. The loss of Edwards has contributed significantly to us only having one genuine attacking edge. Until yesterday anyway.

Rugby League at the elite level of the NRL is predominantly a mental game on any given day. How does the team the Titans put on the paddock last week supposedly come close to the Broncos? It's the mental attitude of both teams that makes that game close.
Or maybe the Broncos took them lightly, like we did.

Sorry Lemon boy, my mistake.

It must have been someone else that specifically compared us to four teams that are likely Top 4. It all blends into one big whine-fest after all.

P.S. Lemons suck.

No idea, perhaps we we're driven by something to prove with the salary cap stuff, who knows...

There's no apparent reason why we can't get that mental attitude back though.
So you don't know why we've lost it but you are certain that it is easy to get back?

That doesn't really seem particularly logical.

Mentality is easier to repair than lack of skill.
But if you don't know why we've lost our attitude do you agree that there may be some underlying reason(s) which mean it is harder to get back than just flicking a switch?

I don't think it is as simple as you are making out. If it was, Tommy Raudonikis would still be a first grade coach.

I'd suggest in many respects mentality can be something as simple as just 'flicking a switch'. Finding how to flck the switch is the hard part.

Our mentality should actually get a boost from the win yesterday, but it's still fragile. We've played without confidence for 3 weeks and most of yesterday. Just winning can create a stronger mentality in itself...the Dragons are the prime example.

Interested to know how our mentality affected our execution and led to us blowing six try scoring opportunities with basic errors on simple skill sets....or how the teams attitude forced Kaysa to make a pathetic attempt at tackle on Seumanufagai, and forced Auva'a to run 35m out of position and leave Hoffman totally isolated....

We have played with a real lack of confidence for 3 weeks and most of yesterday's match. Against a team like the Tigers you can get that confidence back in a blink of an eye with just a couple of strong sets in defence and some hard running in attack. I doubt we would have got back into that match if we were playing the Storm or the Sharks.

The two tries you talk about were both setup with us losing control of the play the ball earlier in the set and the set before. Go back and have a look at the set of six and the one before that lead to both of those tries and come back to me. If we control the play the ball better in those sets of six, those tries aren't scored.

Yep its the 'how' bit that I have been talking about. However, I actually think that is the least of our problems and for the most part the attitude has been there. Brandy even said as much in commentary.

...and the right attitude doesn't guarantee anything if you are supremely outclassed. We need to find solutions to all of the issues (or 'excuses' in your words) that Baz and others raised.

Agreed. A win certainly helps.
