Ha ha ha even NRL didn't think we'd win. Just got the wrap up email with:

two Semi Finals to be played:
  • Friday 14 September: Sharks v Panthers, 7.40pm, Allianz Stadium
  • Saturday 15 September: Rabbitohs v Broncos, 7.40pm, ANZ Stadium
Tickets will go on sale to Ticketed Members from 10am Monday 10th

Too funny.

I for one will be buying my ticket at 10am tomorrow to cheer on the DRAGONS vs the bunnies next Saturday night...

Loved that closing shot of the Duffy try shown on the news ( all ) channels with Duffy being man- hugged by both Leilua and Lomax . Each of those young guns played a marvelous game today - our future is bright with players of their caliber in the Big Red V.

Yep I have thrown up plenty of negatives on the side recently and deserved and hope today was my saviour. Well praise and positves where due to even Mary and all the squad.
Well they have done me proud today as a club and team and showed what we have been looking for for some time. Widdop gone (big loss) and Mann to replace him i have just as much hope against the Wabbits. That should be the only change i hope and I have some confidence. Sorry Euan and Flo..you can support from the sidelines. I thought Dufty, Lomax and even (Mcdonald except 2 bad errors) did well. Hunt stepped up in the 2nd half as he should as was quiet the 1st half. All the forwards even Lawrie excelled today. While there is life..........

One of our members ( I do not know whom ) wrote during the week that the Broncos were shat scared up there in Queensland as they were playing the Dragons . Well I must confess and say that I had bit of a chuckle to myself after I had read the post . But he , whomever it was , certainly knew what he was talking about - good on you mate , I will take your posts with more respect in the future .

I thought Lowrie took over from Friz later in the game . Loved his effort , and also Mann when he came on ......

Lowrie reminded me a bit of big Paul Osbourne , but as you say Lowrie really had a good game , put his head down and charged onto the ball . No wonder the broncos toughnuts were not pleased with him - he never backed down from them and then came back for more .

Goddamn that was an epic win.
A brilliant team effort, with plenty of standouts.
Graham was huge before he got concussed, his defence and quick play the balls set us up.
Sims had an absolute blinder. Just a beserker, loved seeing him take it to Pangai and the other broncos all game, and his reaction to Pangai shoving him at the end was perfect.
Widdop was great, huge loss again.
Lawrie was fantastic. That leg speed and drive he showed in both stints was excellent. Loved seeing him drive Lodge mad, he needs to play angry every week.
Everyone played with heart and pride and guts and none more than Hunt.
His long kicking game was magnificent today, as much the difference as anything. He showed great game management, good passing and defence.
Could go on, but nene, Luc, Lafai, Lomax, Dufty, Cam and JP all deserve praise too.
Bloody magnificent.

Some observations from today that really shouldn't surprise a lot of people.

Dufty: Much improved game and didn't try to score of every run. Didn't drop a bomb today and took a screamer under pressure.

Nene: ran hard and with purpose today. His chase on Nikorima (?) was a sign that he has got what it takes. We saw signs last week and this week he delivered more.

Lomax: A star is born. Nothing else that I can say.

Lafai: probably his best game of the season. We've been waiting for this and he delivered. Great try to stand up Roberts.

JP: Steady game. His runs out of defense in the 2nd half were just what we needed and he didn't shirk his task

Widdop: was all class until his injury. Will be surely missed next week.

Hunt: Congratulations Benny proved me wrong on a few levels. Game management was outstanding.

Friz: Didn't cut back as much today and just ran the holes, Looked dangerous each time he touched the ball.

Sims: wow!, just wow! had his game face on today and would have scared the crap out of the Broncos forwards. 3 tries but a 5 star performance.

Jammer: Arguably was on course for his best game for us before he was injured. Led the line defense which crushed the young Broncos forwards. Hope he is ok for the Burgess bash next week.

LAM: Another who probably played his best game for the season. Ran for the most metres and tackled his heart out. Can you please think about reneging on going to the Warriors!

McInnes: No silly penalties today and made some smart little darts. Defense again his strength.

Lats: Came on and did his job when we needed some cool heads. Not going to win you many games but not going to loose you many either.

Lawrie: Answered his critics well with some power runs and faced up to Lodge without shirking the task. The investment is starting to pay off.

Leilua: Geez he starting to look so dangerous off the bench. X-factor that needs to be fresh to deliver and it showed today. Great awareness try as well.

Mann: Came on for Widdop and carried on with some important line runs and breaks. He's so important to our team and it showed when he came on.

That's my rundown. A great team performance with everyone contributing to the result.

I must admit that I may have been a touch sceptical about our chances today, but I can now reveal that it was all mind games to fire the team up, and didn't it work a treat?

So while I was wrong, I was also somehow right, it's an enigma for sure.

Can't disagree with anything here, but aren't Lomax and Lawrie future stars, those two could be anything.

Reminder to you all that Mary has unlocked the key to a sure fire premiership:

1 - Absolutely tank teams before Origin, accumulate enough points to just about guarantee a finals spot

2 - Anticipate a player burn out, so coast for 10 weeks, just get enough points to make the 8 but not exert too much energy.

3 - The moment the finals start, and the whole world writes the Dragons off, you come out fully tested and tank complacent teams in a perfect replication of Rounds 1-5

You were pathetic BGB. You didn't back your team. You were a pathetic supporter who thought their team would lose. Show some faith in future. learn from this terrible mistake.
Go Dragons

Both Sims brothers were awesome for the dragons.
Funny you say that. I texted my son during the game and said I thought Sims was having the game of his life. My son replied by saying “which one? I think Korbin’s playing pretty well for us as well!”
