Listen here you dead set wanker, every fan had the right to be outspoken and demand the team step up after losing 44/2 vs parra and 38/0 vs eels, not to mention losing 6 or so from the past 10.

On those day we were embarrassed by a lack of intent, lack of heart and couldn’t care less attitude.

Fans of this club expect more, unlike you who is happy to be flogged.

Yes we spoke up, we criticised the team on those days, every right to.
You will notice most of this forum including those who criticised the few weak performances all got on board for the broncos game. Go read the post Gareth put up where the support was great amongst this forum.

If you think any team is immune to criticism when they have games when they don’t turn up, they don’t play with intent ......then you are the fake fan.

Get off your high horse or donkey or whatever it is you ride you jerk, fans demanding excellence is one of the reasons our club is great, it ain’t great because people like you try and say the team is immune to criticism and outspoken analysis.

Vs Broncos the boys stepped up, that’s what is expected, that’s what they did, no thanks to you.

Stop apologising for being wrong! You sold your supposed favourite team up the creek for what? So you could try and get a few likes on a forum!

In future, be positive, support the team and pull your head in!

Talking about going for a walk before the game, you complete muppet!

No mention of how we played or the fact we also played an 18yr old youth, a rookie winger with 5 games in 1st grade, a couple of bench forwards who've played a handful of games and a fullback in his first season. Add to that we suffered major injuries during the game to 3 of our key players in JDB, Jammer and our captain Widdop.

I didn’t get that sense of blame or sour grapes at all. He gave us the credit first, he said Saints went there with intent and got the job done. He was mainly talking about the Broncos lack of energy, ball control and discipline.

I couldn’t hear the question but it seemed to be a follow up about the season as a whole, where he said that they’d overcome injuries to get into the 8 and there’s no doubt about that. Gillett, Sua, Bird, Haas etc is an impressive list. He also said that they didn’t play well in games where they had high expectations (didn’t win one all year) and that their defence was not where they wanted it to be during the season. That those things were also exposed on Sunday in terms of maturity and not living up to expectations, especially on the back of not having their edge forwards. Clearly it’s where we did well.

Without hearing the questions clearly I wouldn’t want to comment further, but that didn’t sound like blame to me. It’s exactly what I thought too. I don’t think he was asked any further questions about us. Just the one to start. Bennett did a good job summarising the season to my mind.

When I heard Glenn was out and they had to start Pangai under an injury cloud, and we had De Belin and Widdop able to play (also injured), we started to gain an advantage.

I think he decided to play Oates busted as well, hoping it would be enough. A lot of talk about what their halves were and weren’t doing with the ball, whether they had an organising half but they had been doing that well. The problem was more their connection in defence.

You can win games and plenty of things get covered up. Of course you can get there and not play with intent etc and not win and externally blame then starts. I don’t think clubs really do that despite how media twists answers to questions. Every year media shift focus away from who is missing or what referee do in a game, as if they are excuses but unless you are in the organisation you don’t really know.

It’s taken me until today to post.
I have been a dragons supporter since the early 70’s and boy I did not see that win coming.
Over the last month , with heavy losses to the Dogs and Parramatta , injuries etc I thought we were gone.

I watched the game in half disbelief and half in total awe & excitement.

That was one of the best games ever , right up there with the GF wins.

Very proud to be a Dragon today .

Yes mate have to agree I really didnt give our blokes much hope....but they were magnificent against all the odds
