As has been pointed out, the player in question is notorious for lying down. The ref and bunker showed how little feel they have for the game in that instance. Butler should have told him to play the ball. How the bunker ruled that tackle as worthy of report is a mystery. The Iro tackle was fine. Their winger slips, drops and there is a body check. Nothing Iro can do. Same with the Hazelton one. Their player slips.
The fact that their winger did not get HIA shows what a joke the officiating was.
Anyway, when you have the lead with 2 minutes to go, just have to hold the ball and tackle for 1 set, you have to win. The last 2 minutes was a shambles. The last 30 minutes were horrendous. Soft mentality that needs eradicating.
Couvade syndromeIf only Uele put as much effort into playing as he did the haka at the end.. does he have any sort of will to win installed in him?
Not to mention Manly will bash us up significantly. Can only increase the chances of an upset against Melbourne by tanking the Manly game and putting the SG Ball team in.Just realised if we play Melbourne in Melbourne then they get a 3 day extra break than us. They play Thursday we play Sunday.
How do you know he didn't count and tell them? It's not the fullback's job to deal with lazy pricks and dullards who don't know where to be.
Don't blame any one individual for that loss. I'd be lucky to have enough generosity to give them all better than a 3/10 rating.
Geez they are slow. I wrote the below on June 1stWhat was the challenge about, it was wasted again no way it even looked like the ball hit him.
The only thing commentary was right about is fullbacks now become smaller with speed to burn.
Next year Ison
The thing with Will is he has to try and find a way to stay relevant in the modern game.
Look at these kids flooding the NRL.
Tuaupiki, Chase, that chic from the Broncos, Gray, Fa'alogo, Kini, Talagi, Koula.
The speed of the game is seeing fullback evolve and faster, more agile, fearless little blokes are coming to the fore.
Will has his own good points but they are old skills when we watch the style coming through
f**k off back to your hole you lowlife piece of trashA Sharks fan complaining about the draw lol amazing
I was going to post something similar - you could see our lot didn’t want to get hurt. You could see it in their play - when things were going against us, only McInnes and DA were happy to put their body on the line. They where all happy when we had the run of play but no one wanted to risk putting their body on the line when the going got tuff and to be honest I’m not against it, they need to be on the park in 2 weeks and that’s more important than anything else.
DA and Nicho had to put their body on the line because the Warriors centre monstered both of them all night. 10 missed tackles between those two.I was going to post something similar - you could see our lot didn’t want to get hurt. Why don't you like Falafel...A Sharks fan complaining about the draw lol amazing
That is the most lucid thing Johns has said in years.Comments from Andrew Johns:
Andrew Johns calls for NRL to fix farcical penalty problem
Immortal Andrew Johns spoke for every rugby league fan when he called on the NRL to crack down on the crackdown. Joey, like many of us, is angry and frustrated over the explosion of sin-binnings and penalties for high shots, with many players opting to stay down and milk the situation after barely being struck.
He also feels the whistleblowers are nit-picking at the ruck, leading to constant stoppages and a subsequent lack of flow to games. He believes Cronulla was a major victim of the crackdown after going down to the Warriors by two points on Saturday night.
"I've got to say, the officiating in this game…they're talking about having a summit at the end of the year about how they referee and the bunker – it needs to be done tomorrow before the semi-finals," Johns declared.
"We cannot let the referee impose on the game like (Saturday night). The referee decided who won the game, without a doubt. The game had been being officiated great (for most of the season) but it's felt like the last couple of weeks the referee and the bunker have been imposing so much. Stay out of it. It's really frustrating."
Both the Warriors and Sharks have been dudded against the Dogs. They have had multiple leg ups this season.Warriors have also been dudded by ref decisions as well, unfotunately for us the NRL used as guniea pigs...
Did manly get even last week for their 3 sin bins against the tigers? Or will that be delayed to this week? Both the Warriors and Sharks have been dudded against the Dogs. They have had multiple leg ups this season.
Warriors got the short end of the stick last week so as you say, we were the wrong loser in the wrong place for the great NRL evening up process.
Is Arko still pulling the strings?Did manly get even last week for their 3 sin bins against the tigers? Or will that be delayed to this week?
I don't think they conspire, bluey. In hindsight I just think that it's got that bad because the NRL has given the refs too much power since the CTE thing to the point where it now looks very much like a stitch up.Saturday night's game - I know, I'm late to the funeral - just sucked out the last vestige of hope that I had in my body for this season. I just KNOW that:
1) The NRL is gonna screw us over... {And that is the hardest pill to swallow, because that can stretch into decades.}
2) We're gonna stuff it up through a lack of killer instinct / game smarts...
I honestly think that we'll lose the next 3 games, and that'll be it for another year.
