The French woman emerged from the bushes and started pointing fingers. The Survivors were building a head of steam on one person, when a polar bear decided to attack Rousseau before she could snoop any further.

The Survivors gunned down the bear before it could do any more damage.

Without Rousseau's vote it would seem that the survivors did not have enough people to lynch the person Rousseau had named. One girl, with a thick Australian accent, pointed out that her unborn baby should get a vote too, and the town had their consensus.
Henry Gale had survived a flight across the pacific though, he wasn't going to die now.

After nearly murdering poor old Henry Gale the camp looked introspectively at themselves.
Jack Sheppard began to speak.
'Look, I know that we've had some difficulties, and some of our friends have died, but we can't lose sight of the fact that we need to get off this island.'
John Locke cut in.
'That's where you're wrong Jack. We were brought to this island for a reason, our priority should be to secure it, then begin to build lives here. Whilst hunting the other day I discovered some caves, they'll provide shelter, security, and a base where we can start building from. Any of you who want to come with me should leave now. The sun is setting and the Others will be able to move soon.'
Jack spoke again.
'We need to stay at the beach, it's the only way to get rescued! Those of you who want to get of this island stay with me.'
