Waiting til tonight to watch it.

But if Ramsay is being a merkin, then it's going to be a good episode. My 2nd favourite character.

never got the hype in the book. They read so average and unnecessary.

That's true of large chunks of books 4 & 5. Characters were added solely for the purpose of filling space on the page, and the Sand Snakes subplot felt like one of them.

D&D have handled books 4th & 5th well so far. Some characters aren't getting stale like in the book and have limited the new characters that didn't really add anything.

People are blowing up after that?

Tame.

I think murder, torture, & chopping off doodles are far worse than that.

It's not Ramsays fault, it's his upbringing. He's the victim.

Feminists make me laugh. It's "outrageous" and "disgusting".

Well f**k, and here I was thinking it was fiction. A show that takes no prisoners; where nothing is off limits.

So incest is fine. Brutal murder, torture, c**k chopping... all fine. But a rape scene... how dare they!!

That scene was crucial. It has made Ramsay public enemy no.1 and now Sansa not only knows that she must escape, but also that Littlefinger couldn't give a f**k about her for handing her over to the Boltons.

Really?
Feminists up in arms over a rape scene in a fictional TV series? By a character who is portrayed as a disgusting, vile merkin of a person.

Are they expecting us all to be cheering Ramsay on in that scene or something?

Feminists will find a reason to get pissy over anything popular. So many butthurt armchair crusaders on my news feed calling for people to boycott the show in the same way men have boycotted their unshaven legs for years now.

Why are feminists upset?

The show isn't glorifying rape, in fact it did the opposite

This

It was up their with the pinball scene in the accused for me

I certainly didn't feel like a spot of rape after watching, quite the opposite

In the book Ramsay makes theon join in ffs

I hate rape, and I especially hate it when writers use it as a cheap ploy to garner hatred for the rapist so we cheer for the protagonist ("The Hills Have Eyes", anyone?).

However, I thought the scene was crucial - they didn't show anything, but it hammered home just how despicable Ramsay is as a human. It was an uncomfortable scene, but it had its place in the moment.

I half-expected Theon to snap out of it and snap Ramsay's neck.
