Red Woman will try to bring back JS like her colleague has done for Caitlin Stark (imo). I think her long face is because she's realised that although she'd seen a vision of the true king of Westeros, it wasn't Stannis all along, it was JS. I don't think she's given up on her mission, just incredibly pissed off with herself and I think ultimately she's a good guy.

Her problem is and always has been that's he has prophetic visions but they're vague and hard to interpret, and she hasn't managed to get them right enough to be all that useful yet. Like most characters in this she isn't really purely good or bad, just serving her own faction's interests.

he wanted his son to marry into the lannister family and wanted to take the peaceful route.

now i havent read the books but i dont really see that as being a weak ruler without a plan. maybe in the game of thrones world it is lol. i thought he was the only one seeing logical sense to just move on from the past and let it go.

So fustrating isn't it. It also ruins oberyn's story as well. Now his death is comes across as a waste due to him being cocky instead of sacrificing himself in a much larger plan

Not 100% sure, but in the books he was scheming against the lannisters ever since his sister was murdered.
He even had a secret alliance with viserys targaryen and daenerys

If she brings back John Snow it means he can walk away from the Nights watch as his commitment to that order died when he did and her vision of him fighting on the walls of Winterfell can come true. Now if Sansa declares John a Stark…
