Walt seems to think that Weirwoods are like video cameras with memory storage, meaning they can only capture and record what is directly within the 'line of sight' of a Weirwood...I don't think that's how Weirwood magic works?

Besides, a Tower of Joy flashback is completely daft without showing what happens inside the tower, and who came back out of it. They are showing Tower of Joy obviously because it is significant to the storyline moving forward, and it's what happens after the fight that gives it its significance. I'm pretty convinced that it will be Bran that tells the story and not Howland Reed.

Well yeah, that’s what I gathered from reading the books. Bran could only see from the perspective of the weirwood.

Going by the previews though, Bran seems to be able to put himself in the moment, like a ghost of Christmas past sort of deal. I still doubt we’ll see what happens in the tower.

Maybe they can just show them coming back out of the tower, but that's just ruining a great opportunity for a thematic revelation. If they don't show the aftermath of the fight at all, then what's the point...

I don't see why tower of joy would have a weirdwood anyway. They're very rare in the south, and this is very, very south. No one in dorne believes in the old gods. Did Rhaegar take her there because she follows the old gods and he knew there was a weirwood there? Okay maybe, but I have my doubts.

Weirwoods grew all over Westeros, except the Iron Islands. Sansa used or pray in front of one in Kings Landing.
