After than game I am going to have a few beers while the mrs makes thai green curry. Going to the Station Bar & Wood fired pizza at Katoomba tomorrow. I am going to salvage something out of this weekend.

Wicks and Gower need to start for Lussick and Tepai.

bring the two big boys in after 25 minutes. They look better against a tiring defence.

I think Watmough in attack will create more points than starting to save points in defence.

Working with his age, its best to leave Lussick on the bench too and use Jnr Paulo as a starting prop.
Watmough is an awesome attacking forward particularly inside the 20.
Best to use him in attack against a tiring defensive line.

Bench

Pauli Pauli (hope we keep him)
Watmough
Lussick (on a reduced contract)
Tepai (let him start when we purchase or bring through another very good prop, otherwise let him start 2017 onwards, he should be deeply seasoned by then.

My observations after three rounds: Hoppoate and Sandow not for re-signing.

I am going to ask a serious question of you Lingard. All the hype that surrounded the signing of both these players and they are now seemingly scrapheap material. We were prepared to go with a player that was setting the world on fire at Manly plus wait 2 years for him to complete his religious obligations, still play origin and now not worth keeping? Sandow wasn't far behind him to get to this point as well. My question is why do you think it comes to this after a relatively short career at the Eels?

I really think that Hoppa on a reduced contract to play 3 or 4 is the ONLY way to go.

He is worth $500k per season.

He is not worth $850k.

Hoppa can cover at least three positions and is a fantastic leader, is tough as and he brings in huge marketing $$$$ into the club.

As he gets older he can also cover back row as well.

I reckon Hoppa will receive a massive 3rd party deal for his next Eels contract.

We must not lose him.
