I can not get around ZT signing though. He wasn't actually punished properly for that.

He missed 3 years of playing time. Got jail time but was appealed which says more about the court system then anything.

The fact he was seen so highly by the Roosters is good enough for me. Only hurting ourselves if we take the moral high road

Nathan Cleary was on this podcast.
https://open.spotify.com/episode/4CRgSLoLCo4qXtat6lI40h?si=oD851gmnSCaZCscktl-S6A
He was asked who in the team would win a 100 metre race. He said the physios at training don't allow the players to have one (presumably because of Edwards and Staines' hammy issues) but the players want it and he'd put his money on Dylan Edwards. He said himself and Naden both believe they would beat the other and like to banter over who is faster. He also said after Laui, Naden and Martin are the biggest pests in the squad.

I think there was some post here claiming Staines and Laurie ran about equal first in a 100 metre race. Looks like that was a lie.

The younger guys often race at carnivals and oztag etc.

Cini that is at WT is fastest of them all.

Good point. The thing is, he, Tamou, and Capewell, are taking the place for Spencer Leniu. Yes I know Spencer is young, however, he should be in the team.

I just do not know how he can play in women in league round, considering what he did?

Yes but you can't rush these young guys. Many players have been ruined due to not developing properly.

I disagree with the youth part. May was old enough to know better.
He did something that is fairly commonplace among people his age. He got caught because he is an NRL player. He probably should have stayed awake at the Academy when they talked about professionalism and being held to higher standards than everyone else.

It was 7 years ago. Sending people to prison only makes them more likely to reoffend, not less.

I have said my preference for no one convicted of a crime to play but those in charge allow it.

Giving limited minutes is not rushing him.

Punishment, and harsh punishment is needed. Also, I disagree with assault, especially on women, is common back then.

Your original argument was that Tetevano is holding back Leniu from a regular spot.

Tetevano is averaging 32mins a game, across his 11 appearances this year. Leniu is averaging 19mins from 6 games. If Leniu took Tetevano's spot, he would need to increase his time on the field by 68%. That's a lot for a young player, and exactly what Franklin is referring to when he says that you can't rush them.

Just because Payne Haas is playing close to 80mins every week, doesn't mean Spencer needs to.

I was referring to both, Tamou, and Tetevano. Also, I did not make any mention about Haas.

Yep. Exactly what I mean't. Leinu is going well in the role he is playing but lets not take time off his career or have him get flaws down the track due to not developing well enough

While Griffin was here the talk about the club was that we had issues bringing the juniors into first grade properly which is what Griffin was supposedly brought in for. It seems the club is addressing this by taking longer to make the players a permenant part of the top 17, instead drip feeding first grade games over a 12 - 24 month period of time.

I don't know how much was hook and how much was Gus but we had no issue getting them to debut. Getting them to 50 games were the issue.

Those who left too have fared no better really either. So not a hook issue but more the last step of the development

What you said here is what I meant. I only mentioned Griffin do demonstrate when the discussion was taking place. Not laying any blame.

Yeo the only remaining member of the 20s 2013 Premiership squad left.

Members of the 2015 20s Premiership squad have gone on to be core members of this years squad.

The 2013 20s team was stacked with talent but could not transcend it to Nrl level.

Dale Finucane out for 6 weeks really helps us with our finals push. Definitely their best member of the forward pack out. Will help us close out the minor premiership in a big big way.
