Guys, it's all over social media... It's going to be discussed whether you like it or not.

Personally, I said my piece and I'll leave it at that, but people are going to want to talk about it.

It's probably just easier to let them talk and not engage, rather than get into another argument over what should or should not be discussed on a forum.

You can't use Social media as a guide though. Full of idiots

Kikau also in reply to someone writing 'go Souths' sang their song. It cause plenty of salt.

People also tried to imply a cracked phone case was coke in a post celebration photo.

People on Social media just hate us most nfrom jealousy. The club would cure cancer and the salty pricks would find something

I'm not "using social media as a guide" and I'm at a loss as to why you think I am...

All I said was that it was on social media so it's going to be discussed. That's it. Really. No deeper meaning to be read into. Just that simple fact.

Again, if you don't think it's discussion worthy, don't discuss it.

Well you said ''Guys, it's all over social media... It's going to be discussed whether you like it or not"

That isn't using Social media as a guide?

Anyway you want to discuss it. Lets discuss it

There were 4 photos. His as a kid, Him in Court and 2 with the team after the game. Captioned with Lyrics for a song about taking all the knocks and growing from them. Here is the lyrics for anyone that isn't sure of the song

He has also stated he had a poor relationship with his family hence also the dirt heaped on as in the lyrics

The Penrith supremo also helped May, who grew up in a housing commission in western Sydney, reconnect with his family.

The whole letter from Gus is in there. It doesn't excuse what he had done but it does show another context to the post that got more attention then it should of.

Everyone knows Naden's famous uncle, Luai's dad going to jail etc. While they didn't do horrible crimes it could explain why everyone is so close despite the conviction.

So like I said it is just people wanting to hate because it is now the cool thing to do

They directly mention the sex offender thing in one of the videos.

Not in the post. Have you watched that video though? It isn't as it portrayed in that Reddit comment. They are asked where is the sex offender in Insta live thing. It was posted on the last page. Totally different situations

Wow... for someone who said it wasn't discussion worthy...

I didn't want to discuss it, I was just saying people were going to. But I'm sure that post wasn't a complete waste of your time as you seem to just be in the mood to argue. About anything it seems.

Have a great day brother. And I sincerely hope your mood brightens.

Well just won the comp and people want to talk about the 1 dickhead in the team. It is frustrating as I said earlier Yeo effort was awesome and far more worthy of discussion

I thought May was remorseful, by him rehashing his history, proves that he is not. What was May hoping to achieve?
Thanking those who supported him in his darkest hour perhaps. It was ill advised nonetheless. NRL players are held to much different standards of behaviour than everyone else and you'll never silence the outrage brigade.

This is why NRL should have a 1 strike and out. The girl that did the same to Kotini Staggs is out of sight and forgotten about. If that same rule was here celebrating would be happening more

All NRL players shouldn't be on Social media full stop. Let alone in highly emotional times

1000% if he leads that post with different photo (not the one on his way to court), there is no backlash.

My take on it initially was him saying "thankyou" to the most important people in his life, that have his back no matter what. I didn't see it as commentary on the court case at all, or him playing the victim. Maybe I'm being naive though.

Responding to the 'sex offender' comments is stupid as f**k - but that all stems from the initial mistake of engaging with the public via social media while drunk.

Not sure how the club handled this internally, but surely they could have found 30mins early in the week to outline some social media guidelines - including a complete blackout of live videos, and moderation of standard posts by someone from the club for 72hours.

My take is same as yours. Ciraldo once said he gave May a car so he atleast had somewhere to sleep. So even aside from the court case plenty to thank the club for.

That last paragraph is where the club dropped the ball big time.

Yeah it should've been moderated.

A real issue to worry about is the new Brisbane side. We will be at the top of the list to pinch some players from. Can also see Burto ending up there if the Dogs don't improve

What will help us is the side being close off the field. Should decimate the Storm having all those QLD born players

How many of you have actually watched that video? Its super tame. They're appreciably drunk and trying not to swear. The only crime being committed is against music. Its not even obvious that theyre calling out May's haters. "You hate what you don't got" (premiership ring) suggests its aimed at the hatred coming at the club from the wider league fraternity.

And seriously, f**k those haters. Theyre salty little knobs that have been unironically up in arms about how we've been celebrating tries. We get hate for instigating a melee, something happens every other game, while the Warriors remain a feel good team despite signing Matt Lodge and Kane Evans. The haters look at us with contempt and by us I dont mean the club, I mean the region. A group of islander boys from Mt Druiitt whooping it up on the footy field triggers them in a way they aren't allowed to articulate, so they come up with euphemisms like smug and arrogant to release their toxicity. These are cleanskin kids who kneel in prayer after each game, they propose to their partners, not batter them. f**k, and I mean f**k those people. If May and Kiks after many many beers are the only people willing to say it then more power to them.

That said, I wouldn't have a problem with the club having a quiet word to the group asking them to keep their phones in their pockets. They've said their piece, its hard to see anything good coming from more footage of the celebrations. These things are private for a reason.
