Yes, I think it is the rep period as well. Last game we played before Origin I was against the Dragons and we put on our best performance of the year. Since Origin we have been ordinary, and then the international games can't have helped either.

In previous years this has been a good period for us - whilst other top teams are struggling due to being disrupted by Origin, we have had almost no one picked, so have been able to maintain consistency.
This will improve, given time.

I wish we only had one player in bad form. Everyone aside form Yeo and Whare have played shocking the last 2 weeks. That is more them rep season
I can't help wondering if there is a flu bug or similar going through the players?

Tom.

It is hard to blame Rep Round when Manly also had Rep players and their injury list is just as long as ours.

The Trbojevic's were Manly's best players. Taupau ran for 148m despite arriving back in the country just 2 days before the match.

The Canberra game. Dallen was our worst player he had nothing to do with rep games.

I don't think anyone's solely blaming rep round but I also think it's naive to say it didn't have an impact. Not so much on Maloney & Cleary (although not having your halves at training wouldn't help) but more so for Phillips, Crichton & Katoa who have made the step up to first grade, are playing 60+ minutes every week & have had to deal with the intensity of first grade without a break due to injuries.

No doubt the Griffin Out crew have been chomping at the bit waiting for a couple of poor games to criticize (& rightly so) but the reality of the situation is that there are reasons/excuses why we're going poorly. It's a very tough period for any side let alone a young side littered with key injuries right across the squad. No other top side is playing particularly well at the moment either.

That is what I put it down too. Our backrow was immense upto round 10. Yeo aside the others haven't played long minutes in FG before mentally more than physical that time took it's toll. Crichton had games in Ron Massey Cup last year a year later he is playing FG for a whole season. Katoa after 20 games is now a 1st choice hooker. DWZ now a FB etc.

It is like the byes came at the wrong time and we had a let down. A few motifications to the squad, A few hard looks in the mirror and we will be back. Better now than come finals time I guess

I don't care who was backing up Manly are a weak side. That loss was the most pathetic since the Elliott days
Well we had a few pityful losses under Ivan.

But considering how far we've dropped over the past month wevegone from being at our best in years to at our worst in years and nothing excuses that.

Yeah there may be some excuses for not being at our best. But nothing excuses being this bad. Especially senior players like Mez, Tamou and Maloney. They havd been through many rep periods before.

Hell even DWZ, Yeo and Whare have been around long enough through many carying circumstances. Yeo and Whare were our 2 best. But 6 senior guys should be enough to precent performances that bad atleast.

Then you have the likes of Cleary and Peachey with more than enough experience to expect better from also. Everyone outside of Yeo and Whare seems to think their jobs for ghr year are done
