Just more proof that there are no easy wins in the NRL. Dragons losing to the Eels is akin to losing to the Dogs and Cowboys.

Also opens the door for us (and the Bunnies and Warriors) to get back to equal first. Historically we drop games when good opportunities arise. Hopefully Hook gives them a revv up on Saturday

The Dragons got there in the last 5 minutes although Eels were the best team. Will Smith with a 40/20 kick that ended up a 40/40 instead which gave Dragons field position and a try.

Eels just panicked in the last 10. Had to stop the Dragons from scoring twice and couldn't. Cummins played his part too.

I think for us and the Dragons, the main difference between us and the pack (below Bunnies) is attitude. When we are not on we are back with the pack. We need players back so we can work on our execution otherwise we’ll be prone to these types of games as the long season wears on.

Eels didnt panic. Will Smith came on and turned momentum against his team. He single handedly screwed up good sets for Eels and gave good field position to Dragons twice.

The first Eels just received a drop out. On the second tackle in Dragons territory he throws the pass forward from dummy half. Dragons get the ball in good field position. Then get a dodgy penalty from their kick which leads to the first try. That all started with Will Smith f**king up though.

The final try came after Eels had started to gain momentum in a set and for some reason Will Smith though on the 3rd tackle he needed to come up with a miracle play. He goes for a 40/20, he f**ks it up majorly. Dragons start in great field position and score the match winner.

Literally all they needed that final 10 minutes was to get through their sets. They had a 10 point lead which he lost for them. Taka killed an opportunity at the end too. But unlike the Will Smith errors, Eels were in a position where theh needed to.

Anyone watch Controversy Corner tonight? Rothfield has got on the "trouble at Panthers" bus. He's saying Hook and Gus "are not on the same page". The lads had Hasler coaching Penrith but Gus firmly controlling the purse strings. He's also talking up the Cronk-Smith feud. You have to buy the Telecrap tomorrow to discover more.

Yeah saw that. Something is clearly off in the past few weeks. Our attitude and commitment on field has been shit house since the Raiders game where we escaped with a win.

I think we went too hard early on and burnt out. We will fix it prob too late for top 4 but we can still make a run regardless

To be honest, I believe it is because of the rep round. Think about it, it has been a while since the Panthers have had players play in these types of matches.

Yes, I think it is the rep period as well. Last game we played before Origin I was against the Dragons and we put on our best performance of the year. Since Origin we have been ordinary, and then the international games can't have helped either.

In previous years this has been a good period for us - whilst other top teams are struggling due to being disrupted by Origin, we have had almost no one picked, so have been able to maintain consistency.

CHN, Kikau carrying injuries. Lots of 2nd and 3rd year players in the squad now senior guys. So it is more than the rep period. We will fix it hopefully in time to still finish top 4
