Golden point in any game is dumb, but in finals it is even worse.

It should be extra time, and then if they still can't be split you can resort to GP.

It was one possession each GP. Was fair, we had our shot and dropped it, just a shame the biggest game isn't decided by a try. That's one of the reasons I hate rugby union. Although in saying that this game was amazing and I didn't think GP was a bad thing (like I usually do) until I saw this thread.

Bennett has said at post GF presser that Golden Point should be scrapped. Why not start extra time with 12 players and after every 3 minutes go down to 11 then 10 then 9 etc.

there's nothing "Grand" about a draw, a Grand Final implies a result, best team as usual won, for finals I would prefer golden try, 10mins extra time, you can still kick field goals but you only ice it with a try.

Standard extra time is an infinitely better option for a Grand Final. But I'm just going to enjoy what was an epic match.
