Golden Point in finals is dumb

Bennett has said at post GF presser that Golden Point should be scrapped. Why not start extra time with 12 players and after every 3 minutes go down to 11 then 10 then 9 etc.

Penalty Shoot out works for millions in the Soccer. Or, just a coin toss. Best out of three. Or a points system based on metres gained divided by penalties conceded added to time in Red Zone. Or first to score during extra time. That'll work.

5 minutes each way extra time would be the best option, with golden try sudden death to break the deadlock at the end of 90 minutes.

I hate golden point. It's unnecessary tension and drama, refs refuse to blow penalties (unless it's against Wests), and the lost points can rule a team out of the finals. Draws were perfectly fine for 96 years before GP, they work fine in all other leagues in the world, why go Americanised with the GP concept?

I have seen my team lose 2 finals games because of it - it was an inevitability that someone would eventually lose a grand final in it.

Don't see anything wrong with it, Broncs had a chance to win it and didn't capitalize and the Cows did.

Should be a draw in regular season. A try in finals matches. Atleast a try can be defended if a mistake is made. The better team would win. Not the lucly team.

Golden try you could be playing for 40 minutes or so longer.
Not too sure that is good for player safety
