Yep, all Melbourne needed was a couple halves who can throw forward passes and balls over the sideline. How dragons are the worst attacking side in the NRL with those in form halves is beyond me.
Both Widdop and Marshall made a bad mistake in the last few minutes, but that was down to the pressure the eels defense put them under. Both Widdop and Marshall were dangerous in the last 20 minutes.
In the last 20 minutes of the broncos/storm game all we saw was plod after plod from storm, a desperate pass to chambers on the 4th tackle followed by a grubber into goal. The way storm were playing broncos could have held them out for another 20 sets.
In the last 20 minutes of the eels/dragons game Widdop, marshall and dugan threw everything at the Eels, they were going wide to one side, then back to the other, chip kicks, creative kicks, giving the ball early to the backs with room to move, there was a few occasions were you were thinking 'how the hell did parra hold them out there'. Honestly if that game was a minute longer parra probably wouldn't of held them out they just s scraped through with a gutsy effort.
