Greatest piece of music ever produced?

Sweet child o'mine. Not my favourite gunners song but it has everything going for it... One of the best riffs ever, great guitar solos, catchy melody, great breakdown and axl although a douche is probably the best vocalist of the rock genre. He has such a huge vocal range. Queen's bohemian rapsidoy will be heard by generations after generations

Whole album........
Fair enough just thought it was weird to choose a whole album as the "greatest piece of music." Regardless big call there then. I'm a big fan of Pink Floyd and that is arguably their best album but there's still a few weird tracks and not weird in a good way.

you need to have a crack at a saucerful of secrets or interstellar overdrive.
That ups the weird ante somewhat from floyd.

not to mention several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and groovin with a pict off ummagumma.

Maybe you're not listening to it the right way.......;-)

As you have correctly pointed out, the title of the album is indeed not a song title on the album.

My reasoning for calling the whole album a piece of music is that IMHO the album flows so effortlessly together, both musically and conceptually, that when listening to it one can only describe the experience as a complete journey of the mind that begins and ends with the first and last notes of music that hold the listeners imagination.

To try and separate them and individualise them as songs, is again IMO, doing a disservice to the creative genius behind such a moving piece of work.

My personal favourite section of the piece is "The Great Gig in the Sky" .............

My top 3 Floyd albums in order:

1. Meddle
2. Animals
3. Dark Side of the Moon
