So do you think it is fair to villify a person based on opinion.

Would it not be better to form an opinion on "turd" as you call him once the facts are out and been heard in a court of law.

Do you think lynching "n****rs" was a good thing too ?

I havent vilified anyone. Ive expressed my opinion as is my right to do so on the FACTS relesaed so far. I havent been swayed by what ive "heard" or what "someones told me" on the quiet.

I called Turd that well b4 this. It goes to his playing style.

So no-one should comment till we know ALL the facts then??? Why not just delete the whole thread??

I wont even justify your last remark with a response.

For Titan and STAE a question I would like an honest answer to please.

Given you guys seem to have him guilty, what would be your reaction should he be found not guilty, or the case not even go to trial, the Sharks sack him regardless and your team signed him?

A precedent has been set with Toad Carney, he would be deregistered and not allowed to play for another NRL team if sacked by your club, one woukld have to presume.

Did I once say the man was GUILTY???? I have only really commented on the 2 or 3 posters who seem intent on disproving/rubbishing whats been reported, as if they KNOW the truth here.

Your question is so loaded and hypothetical I really cant answer it mate. IF it eventuates I will PM you my view I promise.

LG stands by Sharks amid glassing furore
spacer.gif

By Patrick Avenell
SYDNEY: Amid reports that accountancy firm PKF is set to terminate its sponsorship agreement with the Cronulla Sharks after the Greg Bird glassing incident, LG has released a statement saying it will not be undertaking such action.
“LG is committed to supporting the club and is not commenting on the incident,” said an LG spokesperson.
Bird, who appears in television commercials promoting coverage of the NRL wearing LG-branded clothing, was arrested last weekend and is alleged to have assaulted his girlfriend with a drinking glass – attacks of which are referred to as ‘glassing’.
So far this season, Bird has been named man of the match in test match and a state of origin match, but looks unlikely to play in an LG Sharks jersey again this season

i repeat reefy

i do not know

i do know so far she hasnt made a statement either way

i cannot conceive this was an accident

i have read the same mail you have reefy probably from the same guys

and it damns bird not exonerates him
then you are getting the wrong mail from the wrong guys.

call me names if that will make you feel better

i am dissappointed that you of all people would put up a defence of such an attack
you see, you say you don't know, then you call it an attack. You don't get it. I'm not calling you names. You are calling it an attack I call it an incident until charges are dropped or he is proven innocent or guilty.
I do not need to put up a defense of an incident.
I do want to try to publicise the fact that the media are lying through their teeth to create a story & the truth is very different to what is being reported.

Mods

It really is time to make this a troll free zone.

STSAE and TITAN1 are really not contributing to anything here and seem to just be intent on agitating.

If the mods make the request I am sure posters can actually be banned from entering individual forums. itation. We'll see how it goes hahahaha

Ive been informed by one of your Mod team I have done nothing wrong with my comments and opinion and am free to use this section of the site like everyone is, as long as I continue to toe the line of course.

Why not debate the issue with us, instead of resorting to insults and attempts to have us silenced???

The starter of this thread had some good debate and really opened my eyes to the FACT he hasnt had his day in court as yet and we dont really know all the facts YET. His attitude was one of discussion not trying to belittle others opinion and he seemed to get results. Maybe theres a lesson in his madness.

Your posts are an opinion, it's not a summary of FACTS.

The regulars of this forum have to put up with your dribble, which is about the only FACT that we can be sure of.

i doubt it

and i doubt you are hearing any different than me

just because a victim in a case maybe of questionable character that does exonerate an assault

you see, you say you don't know, then you call it an attack.

oh i know

and so do you

you think we are in a court room with a burden of proof beyond all reasonable doubt

the reality is reefy...and i stress this point..the public, sponsors etc will decide on balance of probability

that is why bird will not play agin this year (at best)

even if he gets acquitted on a technicality he will always be known as the guy who slashes womens faces with broken bottles

i dont think he will attempt to answer

greg bird is becoming a nelson mandella to some in here

and it is sickening

the club should give him until tomorrow afternoon to explain satisfactoraly why his version of events differs so much from the polices and sack him

the club is making a huge mistake in letting this drag out

It would appear thats the best analogy ive heard so far mate.

who really gives a f*ck?

Did I once say the man was GUILTY???? I have only really commented on the 2 or 3 posters who seem intent on disproving/rubbishing whats been reported, as if they KNOW the truth here.
I will put a challenge to you & your idiot brother.
There are people on here who are friends, live close by, are related &/or know Bird quite well. There are others with direct lines to Sharks officials. There are others who know public officials EXTREMELY well. We know each other & have met in person.
A may not know B but knows him through C
We have good faith in the info that is provided on this forum both private & public, despite our differences.
if you do not come from the group of people above that have contribute or can offer something more than your regurgitated dribble from the media, then f*ck off.
Go to the NRL forum & post in there. We would like to keep our Sharks forum on track & devoid of useless posts like yours.
Please Sharks mods, can you assist here.

Goes back to my original scenario question earlier on in this thread.

Would you ask a mate to take the rap for a possible accident, maybe if your stupid like bird is.

Would you ask a mate to take the rap if you walked up and glassed someone.. He could be that stupid as well...

Police reports are that he has actively attempted to divert police with statements.

I don't see any report that police have published that Bird has said that Mr Watson is the one to blame and that they will be testifying that he did the damage.

My personal view as i have said all along is, that he has thrown a glass at her in a fit of rage it's hit her, and then he's tried to get a mate to take the blame for it, not accuse him and try to pin the blame on him.

As i said, that's just my personal opinion on the matter. When the truth comes out, that's when we will all know.

And I agree with what youve said there, from reading whats available thats the opinion I form.

And IF its close to the truth I have to ask why are glasses being thrown in anger??? And how do you try and get a mate to take the blame when youve done something like that????

There the bits I cant get my head around.

She has legal advisors of her own, her parents are with her & the media is showering her with gifts. She is famous. Apparently she has lost an eye & has a fractured eye socket.
& yet you think her & these people are going to let her not make a truthful statement to protect somebody she has been with for 8 weeks?
Millers, you are out of your depth here mate. Believe me, take the time, take a breath & give in to the fact that there is a possibility that this was an accident. I haven't discounted the possibility that it was done on purpose. But there is some very good mail around saying that it wasn't. Read back to where I wrote "there is no privacy from public departments"
You've swallowed the entire media spin & I am shocked. But it does make me curious of what you do think about Lindy Chamberlain? Did you ever think during all those years that there was a possibility that they were telling the truth.
The STAE's & Dannyboys & myanons & other imbeciles had her tried & convicted.

Why bring Lindy Chaimberlain into the discussion when you couldnt answer honestly how would you feel if it was your sister or Birds??

You just cant stop with the insults and innuendo but have had the gall to ask Mods to ban us for being reasonable and trying to have a reasonable discussion.

Nope. Mods can't restrict people to which forum they post in, only Supermods and Admins can do that, and I'm not going to ask the admins to have him banned from in here when he has done nothing wrong, I'd be laughed at.

If you think he is violating forum guidelines then by all means report him.

Why do you constantly reply to someone you want gone ? All that does is encourage people to post more frequently.

I think we definitely are. I am passing my info around to some as are others

oh i know

and so do you
I believe I do know. That is why I have a completely opposite opinion to you.
I haven't ruled out though the extremely remote possibility that it was an unprovoked deliberate malicious attack, despite hearing the opposite from a variety of sources who know.

you think we are in a court room with a burden of proof beyond all reasonable doubt
I am not the one who has ruled out possibilities. You are. You have him convicted without doubt & cannot conceive that anything other than a deliberate malicious attack occurred.

the reality is reefy...and i stress this point..the public, sponsors etc will decide on balance of probability
that is why bird will not play agin this year (at best)
unless when she makes her statement that it was an accident.
The balance of probability suggests to me that her legal people & her parents will want to press charges to either get an insurance/damages claim or to get justice.
If they do not do that, than the balance of probability & I stress this at this point, Bird does not have enough millions, to buy her off. The public should be made aware of how much freedom costs. Bird does not have those funds.
The balance of probability in regards to your ridiculous battered wife synndrome theory is that nobody will believe that a girl in a relationship that started & finished in 6 weeks, is a battered wife or even remotely going to be considered suffering from this "syndrome"

even if he gets acquitted on a technicality he will always be known as the guy who slashes womens faces with broken bottles
Incredible isn't it. The statements haven't even been made yet , but the facts have now become "slashed" & "bottle".
The media has done a great job on you.
