Gee it's nice to see some people are showing sympathy for those that allegedly try and take their own lives.

Jerk!

believe what you will, she has given 2 different versions

if that were the correct version of the event, why didn't she say that i the first place ?

How the hell do we know - do we know her mental state at the time? For sh*ts sake lets get serious here.

If you simply hate Inglis and wish him guilty then say so!@

Sorry mate but I do know what an 'assault' charge is - its a 'charge' and not a 'conviction'. You seem not to understand the difference.
you are the one talking about conviction , i havent even mention it . all i have commented is the assault charge and why would the victim need a lawyer and change her statement before it went to a hearing is a bit sus

not so my friend - you are saying he assaulted her because he 'palmed' her. I am saying that a response like this is not necessarily an assault. Thats for a Court to decide. Read through the thread.

at the moment he is charged with assault , the charge is what im talking about, the police feel he has assaulted her why he be been charged

Interested to see so many are prepared to believe Inglis is guilty in the face of something as compelling as this. A bit sad actually.

Oh look this totally turns me around about the whole affair.

In fact I would go so far as to say that Inglis's actions in this are heroic and he should be recognised for them. Where can I noninate Inglis for an award ? AUstralian of the year ? Local hero award ?

It has been alleged his backhand actually saved her from harming herself any further.....she could have gone on to marry the guy.

She said she was trying to hurt herselfand Greg intervened to help her, and by the looks of her black eye, reported in press she has two of them, I tend to believe her first statement to police.

News just in; Joe Dirt who plays for the Gargoiles has been said to have assaulted his mum, it was filmed, his finger prints have been matched, 50 eye witness the same account.

BUT WAIT, innocent until proven guilty - Stop assuming everyone Rugby League players kick and score too many tries to be capable of anything malicious!

The usual people, and the above sentence would be applied if a case was even that clear cut.
Some people just can't seperate their fandom from real life.

Edit; And note I've said NOTHING about what I think of this but seriously those who are accusing others of being against Inglis are doing the exact same thing.
If this was any blow joe on the news you'd be echoing the same words as those about Inglis, because he scores tries you find it your duty to hound others for daring to not take his side.

Can I try and explain what elbusto is trying to say.

Yes the police have charged him with assault, they found that from there initial assesment that there was an assault. HOWEVER, the court system will decide if this assault was justified and is a criminal asssault. You do have the power under the law to 'assault' people under certain circumstances (self defence for e.g.).

So yes he is charged with assault, but the court will decide if he was right to commit that assault.
