Yappy,I understand and appreciate your traditionalism, but when you are'nt the high flying Rooster's or the Bulldog money bag's who have endless amount's of money you have to look at option's on how to make the Venture viable.
Now what sound's logical, losing money or being gauranteed money at Telstra??I for one will not enjoy watching games at Telstra as I enjoy watching games at Leichhardt and Campbelltown. But do you honestly think supporter's are not going to go there??
And where will the money come from to keep player's like Benji??
from what meat raffles won at Leichhardt or Campbelltown?? ;-)

but Homebush is a damn site closer to Lilyfield than Leumeah.
....and ironically Homebush is just about the same distance from Leumeah
that Lidcombe is!
I feel like Ive been down this path before.

The general consensus on this forum is that moving games to Telstra stadium for the cash to keep the club alive and kicking is the wrong thing to do but i think all supporters should get out to these games at Telstra not boycott them so the ground is over run by tumbleweed. Plus its easily accessable via rail.

The only thing I'll rely on City Rail for, is f**king up your entire day.

An inept, disgraceful organisation which should be wiped off the face of this earth once and for all.

Remember, these farkwits did railworks when the football was on at Campbelltown last season.

what if the tigers fans or any fans in particular don't show up to these telstra games.. how much revenus is the club really going to make out of this deal?
say they only get 8000 fans to each of these games.. maybe less.. that's not a great deal of money.. it's a failed experiment and in the mean time they have pissed off alot of fans and lost alot of the younger one's who only get to see their favourite team play at their local stadium 3 times a year..
when it's game day at campbelltown the place is overun by young people.. how many of them are going to make the trip out to homebush? they haven't got a hill where they can play footy with each other there..
i can see that the only positive to come out of this move is the money.. and that's all the club is worried about.. maybe if they came out and said the money generated will go towards fixing up both stadiums, or at least given us a reason as to where the money will be placed then maybe there wouldn't be such an uproar.. but noyce was forced to come out and say they'd decided to move games just because of the money to be earned.. not where it was going to be placed or how it was going to be invested.. it would have eased a mind or two i can assure you that..

the joint venture wants to sure up its future-----taking games away from c-town and leichhardt--ISNT THE WAY TO GO---
the way to go is to build a top notch team--easier said than done, but we proved it this year--with a few good wins on a trot, against quaility outfits, and you will have people hanging off the rafters--but the front office is having a hell job attracting cattle to the ranch---SIGN BENJI UP and we are 1/2 way their---me for one--even if we win 10 on a trot, iam not going to telestra--hate the place-like going to longbay without the view

Max, I religously attend games at Campbelltown and Leichhardt and if convenient I will goto away games. I put Telstra games in the away games category.

Firstly, we are guaranteed income so my $25 won't matter. I will have a better atmosphere at home getting my Foxtel subscription's money's worth.

Secondly, I am not in favour of so many games going there. I could cop just enough to keep us in a decent financial position. I think there are too many now and while it makes commercial sense on one hand, I have factors against it that fill up more than one hand.

Thirdly, there is no way the club will put this income back into fixing up our real home grounds. It will just be mis-managed like everything else.

If we don't get some good on field results, you'd want to hope there are a lot of free tickets going around because a wet night against either the Storm or Cowboys at Telstra could be very embarassing for our club in a 80000 seat stadium. I'm sure they could just fudge the attendance though.

Mate couldn't agree more for me 1 game played at TS would be 1mths subscription paid for on Fox - it is a crap ground to go to and atmosphere at TS whats that ??????

Spot on!!!!! Especially when the Wests Tigers don't own those grounds in the first place!!!!

Couldn't be more on the money as usual Sincas - it is a joke sure we are getting around 13,000 people to attend our home games but at TS that would like looking for ants on the moon from Earth!!!!

I am however grateful that our info is that the traditional games if you like, will stay at Leichhardt and Campbo.. something like

LO - Souths, Parra, Manly
Campbo - Dogs, Canberra, Penrith? Easts?

Sincas, I won't argue with you.But the fact is that it is no longer the Magpies or Balmain were we had a say as voting member's.
We are following a franchise and the fact is we have no say and that they operate it in that fashion were all they want to do is make it viable and productive.
Once they achieve that they will have money for good player's.
All we can do is support it,because unless all of us decided to boycott the games nothing will ever change. :(

See that's what i don't agree with Max. The Joint-Venture is owned by both Football clubs. Without the members of both respective football club's, this Joint-Venture would not even of been established. Hence, the reason all matters in regards to the Joint-Venture should be put to the members of both football clubs. Instead, we have been LIED too. Something i'd expect a News ltd. aligned club would do. Opps...i forget we are one!

You have to keep Leichardt.

Man, whenever I go there it's awesome. The atmosphere is great, and I don't cop too much crap from the fans.

Go Leichardt!

A boycott won't change a thing. I am well aware of that. We are gauranteed income so they won't care.

But as fans they have not encouraged me to support this team. This move does not motivate me to leave my warm apartment when its 10 degrees and watch the boys play live when I could of just as easily sat at home and got my pay tv's money's worth.

They have taken away the atmosphere I love about home games. To me, Telstra is just like an away game and they don't need my money anymore.

All moving to Testra will achieve is losing a lot of the Leichardt traditionalists and make more of the talented Campbelltown juniors switch to other clubs. This whole issue is a dream coming true for the likes of the Roosters and Buuldogs!
